I Have To Start By Stating This Is The Sadest Looking Plate Of Food I’ve Seen In A Long Time..I Warn You!! Dont Go There If Your Hungry!! As You Can See Extremely Small Portions!!! It’s The Rellplica Of A Generous Appetizer. Theres More Bread Then Fish!! You Literally Have To Go FISHING FOR THE FISH!! The Fruit Punch Taste Like Sugar Water? I Specifically Asked To Please Refrain From Frying My Fish Too Hard & Had A Long Conversation In Detail With The Cashier. Of Course It Was Over Cooked!! Over All, If You Decide To Take A Chance And Try This Restaurant!! I Definitely Dont Recommend You Order Fish!! Hopefully The Chicken & Ribs Are Much Better!!

Chicken was real homemade chicken! Seasoned perfectly! The greens were bland but the beans were good. Different but good. I had to go back for the potato salad & overheard the cashier say I was the second person that day.
The ribs were cooked well & saucy like I prefer. The flavor was okay.
They only have outdoor seating & it was raining. I also thought the ladies at the front could have been friendlier. Particularly the shorter lady that initially bagged my food. They weren’t rude but act like y’all are happy to be there, hell.
Still recommend.

I hadn’t had chicken and ribs in a long time. Today I was wanting it real bad I always get pork ribs. Today I was very disappointed with my food. It was bland the ribs were not good. My chicken gizzards were real salty I also had a hot dog. That in the lemonade was good. I spent almost $70 today and I was not satisfied.

I noticed this spot because I have to pass it on my way to campus & it seemed like a real mom & pop restaurant so I was really eager to try it. It’s a very small restaurant, the ordering area can maybe hold 6 people comfortably. There is outside seating that seem like it could be very cozy on a good weather day. I ordered a Rib & Wing dinner combination. You could choice between Pork or beef ribs, light meat, dark meat or 3 wings! I chose the pork ribs & 3 wings with my sauce on the side. For the side I had French fries & collard greens! I love the crinkled cut fries and how they were seasoned. The collard greens didn’t have enough unique flavor for my liking but they were not bad. The chicken wings were good & the ribs were nice & meaty. I tried the homemade lemonade & it was perfect. I have tasted nice sweet lemonade that good in along time. I would definitely go back to try other items off the menu. The two ladies at took the orders (Neveah) both were very nice & answered all my many questions about the restaurant and the menu. Both ladies made my visit welcoming.

Try this place first time and try to get something popular in Charlotte. And yes it was very good I will give a 4.5 but unfortunately there is not more choices.
The food is good and tasty. They were fast but it looks like a busy place. We ordered BBQ Ribs they are good and croaker fried fish. The fish was good, crunchy and tasty
The cashier guy was so friendly.
We order to go but they have two tables outside. So, we decided to eat there and enjoy that beautiful weather.
Why I don’t give a 5 start because I would like the ribs little dryer in the oven, letting the BBQ be absorbed for the ribs but I understand that is the way of their recipe.
Finally you should support this kind of business that have been created a Culture of the city bringing something traditional to the public with a great service.

Came across this restaurant as I was in town. Was a great option. Had the wings and fried and very delicious. Lemonade was great and sweet but not super sweet. The pork ribs were okay but sauce was amazing. Only cons is the limited parking and the inside was a little tight but overall worth a visit.

Best fried chicken!!!! This place is pickup only and I always call to place my order. If line busy just wait or go and order in person. The food is ALWAYS fresh I’ve never got cold or old food over the years of going here. The chicken is seasoned and fried to perfection. I also LOVE the jumbo shrimp they have so good! The sides are great the only thing I wouldn’t order again is the greens they have sugar in them. Im not a fan of sugary/sweet collards but if you are then give them a try. Poundcake is dry and also I don’t eat pork anymore but hands down they have the BEST pork chop sandwich in Charlotte!!! Have to try this place for yourself.
