A hidden gem. You don’t imagine to get authentic sushi in Scottsbluff NE. Much less at an affordable rate. But that’s exactly what’s available at Oriental House. They also have Chinese, Thai and other Oriental Cuisine as the name suggests. A mom and pop with an extensive menu and a ornate decor, I’m so suprised that they don’t have more business. Try then and see for yourself. They offer dine in or carry out. Just be aware is occasionally a few minutes wait as they keep a small staff. In my opinion that makes it all the more quaint.

It has Sushi… Actual sushi! I love it we came here once and that’s all it took for me to get addicted. I have heard people complain that it’s slow, but since people don’t come here a lot they only have one chef, but he does a great job our food is always delicious! And since everyone has phones or people to talk to we don’t mind the wait to get good food.

Had the skewered chicken with curry seasoning didn’t care for the flavor. I don’t think I like curry. Then I had the lettuce wrap with shrimp which was very good! Only 1 person was working at the time so it took a little while to get the food cause he had other customers. Which I had plenty of time to spare. So if your a complainer don’t dine here!

Just ordered sesame chicken and the order did not have any sesame!!! And it was soggy! Order crab wontons and didn’t get sweet and sour!!! The steamed rice was way short on quantity!!! And how can you have sushi and not send any wasabi and ginger!!!!???? And on top it off the bill was 50 dollars not happy!!! Won’t be spend my good earned cash on that quality of food and service!!!

Wow! What a gem this place is! The food here is among the best I’ve ever had! The 3 menus are chock full of so many options! There a sushi menu, Chinese menu and Thai menu! There are tons of vegetarian and meat choices. The smoked salmon and vegetable sushi rolls are top notch! This place is an absolute must try. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is neat and clean.

We went on a Sunday evening and were the only people in the place. Two people came in to pick up to-go orders while we were there. I shared an order of egg rolls with my friend. They were good but they were very thickly breaded and fried. Filled with cabbage and ground pork, and served with sweet and sour sauce. I ordered Yellow Curry with chicken, mild spice level. It was too spicy for me. One of my friends ordered General Tso’s chicken. I thought it was fantastic, she didn’t really like it. It was large chunks of breaded, fried chicken in a think, tangy orange spiced sauce. It didn’t come with any rice or vegetables. Another friend ordered the sushi. The sweet potato roll, avocado roll, and veggie roll. The portions were enormous and they were delicious and fresh. For dessert I ordered Sweet Rice with Mango. It was absolutely awful. The rice tasted like burned fried rice. It was completely inedible. There appeared to be only one man working. He could understand our orders but not much beyond that.

I do not typically leave reviews but this was so terrible, I feel obligated to leave a review. The egg roll resembled nothing of an egg roll. The tempura style breading of the egg roll and general chicken was one of the most awful tasting items I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if it was bad oil or if that’s just how it tastes. My child puked. I wouldn’t ever consider going here again.

The sushi here is the most delicious I’ve ever eaten. The fish is very fresh and the sauce is super. I have eaten Chinese food many times in the southern cities of the United States, but no restaurant has such delicious food as this one, and the price of this one is very cheap. Really delicious Chinese food often requires patience. The food here is carefully cooked, so sometimes it’s not very fast, but it tastes great. I went to see the kitchen of this restaurant. Their ingredients were very fresh, which made me feel at ease. It’s really a great food experience.
