Nice place, good service, lively atmosphere. We went there around 5pm, we got a table right away. They brought us a high chair for our toddler and our waiter was very polite and explained the dishes we asked about. We had 4 adults, we all got different dishes and we all liked them, I had the “lamb in pot”, my wife had the seafood combo plate, our friends had duck and chicken. The portions were plentiful (2 of us had to ask for boxes to go). We will be going back in the future.

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time. I ordered several dim sum dishes and we both ordered a main entree. The Dim Sum came out first. I’m the type that likes all the food to come out all at once so there’s no time gaps in eating so we waited. I told her to eat first, but shed rather wait for me.

After some time had passed, our waitress came over and asked if there’s something wrong. I said no we were just waiting for the rest of the food. She didnt realize but it was just miscommunication on my part.

I will say, I have never in my life had wait staff that came over based on our body language and reactions the way our waitress did, instead of the typical “how is everything?” before you take the first bite and maybe once or twice check in afterwards randomly. Each time she came over, our waitress was the absolute sweetest.
I tipped her 40% cash

As an asian person, can’t say I have any issues with any of the food we had. It was all around a great experience!

Eat here. It’s really good. I don’t know what else to tell you. Asked a lot of questions and was met with niceness 😀
Wish I had been a bit more adventurous food wise but I often panic at large menu selection. Saw a lot of families and couples which was sweet 🙂

We’ve been going here for about ten years and it is a family favorite. They have remodeled recently and it looks great! If you want authentic Chinese food with “Family Style” portions, look no further! The Dim Sum is legit and delicious and so are the main dishes. There is a lunch menu, and an Authentic Chinese menu of 88 items.

We came here for dim sum and loved it! Very authentic and definitely the best dim sum you can get in Louisville. Atmosphere is relaxed, good decor and recently renovated. Service was excellent. Love that they have authentic Chinese / Hong Kong food as well as American Chinese. Can’t wait to come back!

This chicken was burn to a crisp. I tried peeling the fried parts off so I could just eat the chicken, but the chicken wasn’t even chewable. Hard as a rock.

Tried the Orange Chicken and several items from the dim sum menu. The orange chicken was pretty good with a strong, fresh orange flavor.
However, I would not return for the dim sum. The steamed ribs and beef crepe were very overcooked and mushy. The texture was slimy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are tiny and had zero shrimp in them.

Wonton soup was so yummy without being over salted. The egg roll was fresh and crispy. The fried rice was okay. The hot plate with beef, shrimp and chicken was fantastic. The beef was so tender. The sauce was perfect. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. I would just go with white rice next time.

It’s been a long time since my wife and I have gone to Oriental House. The last time we went there was well before they remodeled. So we decided to go back for another try. Personally I still did not see anything special about the food the orange chicken was way overdone, hard in some spots, and very chewy. The Mongolian beef barely had any beef in it but the combination fried rice was good.
