My second visit to Oriental Cafe was just as amazing as my first! I was greeted by Carson, a friendly server who treated me like family! I had the dumplings in chili oil as an appetizer, then followed that with fried green beans and the twice-cooked pork. After having lived in China for 3+ years, I can tell you this is how authentic Chinese food tastes, which is sooooo hard to find in the US. I couldn’t leave without more food for the days ahead, so i ordered the dry pot combo to carry home. Of course, I just HAD to try it right away – can’t wait to gobble it up tomorrow for lunch! Kudos to everyone at Oriental Cafe, and a big shout out to Lady Carson, Server Extraordinaire!

We ordered delivery and were met with a very nice driver and excellent service in that regard. However, the order itself was met with disappointment. We ordered General Tso’s, Beef and Broccoli, Scallion Pancakes, and Chow Mein. The Chow Mein never came. Instead it was replaced with a slop of bean sprouts and chicken. This was our first time trying this business, but I’m not confident we’ll be returning considering they deliver incorrect orders.

From entering the building and being kindly welcomed, thoughtful waiters during order and noticing when things are needed, to the fresh and flavorful food, and the extremely kind farewell–The Oriental Cafe is the place to go. Thank you so much for making our experience wonderful!

I visited Oriental Cafe before heading out of Harrisonburg and I’m happy I did. The atmosphere is nothing special but the service was great. The food was really good too. I got the orange blossom roll, the maple roll, scallion pancakes, and the short ribs.

We went to the Oriental café on Friday. We had looked at the reviews and saw that they were great and decided to go. I have not been to an excellent oriental café that caters to specific Chinese and hibachi meals. The , onion and pepper Steak was exactly the type I used to get as a little girl. It was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations. for the quantity, price and taste I highly recommend Oriental Café. I gave it a four for atmosphere because it was quite cold.

We visited the Oriental Café in Harrisonburg Virginia on our last trip to Holly Nails next door.

I tried a few different sushi rolls and the chicken satay. I for some reason fell in love with the chicken satay because of a very spicy hot sauce that they have on the table that paired so well with that satay that I took another order home with me along with some of that hot sauce poured over it.

The sushi rolls were tasty and rather inexpensive but not too lacking in quality.

The service was a little lackluster as our waitress sat us down at a table that didn’t have silverware and then didn’t bring silverware after the food came out. She was also indisposed with another customer that I guess she was friends with and talked to quite a bit instead of attending to our table and also filling drinks.

When ordering the brisket noodle soup, they actually meant “tripe”(cow stomache) soup. It was delicious except, the fried egg was fried way too hard and tasted bitter and burnt. The scallion pancake was crispy but lacked scallions. The sashimi delux was supposed to be 20 pieces but I was brough 19. The “white tuna” had something in it that was thready and looked to to be a parasite. I included a pitcure, you decide for yourself, bloodine or parasite? $75 bucks + tip.

This place is the best! Not the cleanest of restaurants but they care a lot about the experience. Food servings are gigantic and each meal could easily feed 2 people. Fried rice is amazing and worth the upcharge. Sushi was just OK, not worth writing home about. Overall this place rocks, and I plan to visit again next time I’m in town.

Best oriental food I’ve ever had! Everything tastes super fresh and made with love and care. The drinks, food, vibe, and staff are absolutely amazing!! I felt comfortable and at home as soon as I entered. I’m definitely yapping about this place to anyone who will listen and coming back to try more dishes! 15/10!!!

Best Chinese food in Harrisonburg! I have never had Hot an Sour soup before, and I loved it so much I ordered a container to bring home. We also had General Tso chicken, chicken Lo Mein, and pork dumplings. The dumplings were the best dumplings I have ever had! The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive.
