Food is traditional and portions good sized. Welcome alternative to a drive to Flushing. Server was attentive and well spoken. Pricing is reasonable. Parking can be challenging, lot in front and back can get full. Street parking is avail.

Orient Garden is a solid Long Island option for good dim sum, and I’m grateful there’s parking — even if the lot is a little tight. It’s nice not to have to trek into the city for classic dishes done well.

The restaurant was clearly understaffed during our visit, and the space wasn’t the cleanest. We were given a few dirty plates and cups, though they did replace them when asked. The staff felt a bit overwhelmed, so service was on the slower, more chaotic side.

That said, the dim sum was very good, and the lobster noodle special was delicious. When the food landed, it delivered.

Overall, a place with strong dishes and some operational rough edges — worth it if you’re craving dim sum without the drive to Flushing or Manhattan, but go in with a little patience.

Authentic Cantonese style Chinese food on Long Island. Ordered beef chow fun and salt & pepper pork chops. Reasonably priced menu. They also serve dim sum all day, which I will have to try.

Bad service, terrible parking situation, and average food. We have great expectations from this new Cantonese restaurant, but so far they haven’t lived up to our expectations. The first time we were there was their grand opening and the service was bad. We thought we would give them another chance hoping the service would have been improved since grand opening. Nope. Nothing has changed. Still bad service second time around. We had to ask for tea, then we got wrong tea; we had to pack our own food when we were ready to check out. I like the shrimp dumplings and fried fish fillet with tofu, other dishes just average.

ALWAYS enjoy our meals here, whether it’s lunch or dinner. My husband frequently gets lobster Cantonese & says the lobster is cooked perfectly every time.

This has become a staple in our restaurant rotation, and I truly wonder how we got by without it all these years. Authentic, good quality dim sum in Nassau. The food from the regular menu is also delicious. This is a great addition to the neighborhood. We have dined in and gotten takeout (many times) and the food is always delicious.

Been coming here for dim sum recently as it’s pretty close to the house. Food does not disappoint. They have the typical dim sum assortment. First time we came, they have the carts that come around. Second time, we ordered from a menu and they brought out the food. Either way food tastes great. Plenty of seating available. Parking lot is small and can be an issue during their busy times. Will definitely be back.

Reasonably priced, not so expensive. Dishes are not as salty as many places. Traditional settings with food on carts. Smaller dishes start at $4.95. would improve if you add in more spices, like garlic, ginger…

This used to be my favorite spot for Chinese food in the area, but it has become completely unreliable. We spent sixty dollars on takeout the other night, and it was awful on multiple levels. The house special fried rice, once full of flavor, tasted like the ingredients had been tossed into a container dry and separately, without ever being cooked together. There was no oil, no cohesion, nothing resembling the dish they used to make. It felt like someone with no kitchen experience had prepared it.

The moo shoo was even worse. Something in it tasted off, possibly spoiled, and it was so bad we threw it straight in the garbage. When I called to speak with the manager, the response was uninterested and dismissive. A simple explanation and some form of restitution would have prevented this review, but apparently that is no longer how they operate. It is a real shame, because they used to be fantastic.
