The Oregon Barbecue Company (OBC) began in 2013 as a competitive BBQ team that participated in competitions up and down the Pacific Northwest. Our passion for BBQ led us to get involved in these competitons as a way to join the BBQ world and meet other like-minded people who shared the same love for slow smokin’ meats as we do. After winning multiple awards throughout the competition circuit, folks began to inquire how they could try the meats that we had worked so hard to produce. It was then that we decided to bring OBC to the masses. We got ourselves an old 1979 Prowler trailer that had been converted into a food cart and we made our debut! We loved servin’ our BBQ, and the public seemed to love eatin’ it too.

The brisket reigns supreme . The food here is great, but I LOVED the brisket, so tender, juicy and flavorful. I also got the pulled pork which was scrumptious, really good. The plate came with two sides, I got corn and cole slaw which were both good. The place has a really small eating area consisting of wooden picnic tables in a run down dirt lot. Even worse were the yellowjackets that swarmed for a bite of the meats. We ended up having to eat in the car, so getting the food to go is the best option. It would be great if the owners tidied up the eating area with canopies and turf and Yellowjacket repellent. We’d go regularly if they did because we don’t live in Albany and we don’t like eating messy BBQ in our car. Eating area aside I highly recommend for some top notch BBQ, especially the brisket.

Me and my dad just came by. Absolutely the best brisket and ribs ever, coleslaw and potato salad. But mainly the protein! Literally the best. Fell apart, wasn’t dry, wasn’t soaked. Same with the Ribs, they just fell apart. And the seasoning and sauce mixture was literally Chefs kiss. Don’t change it. Absolutely will be telling everyone about this place for the next few days.

Sorry folks, I just wasn’t impressed. Oregon isn’t really a BBQ destination and the Oregon Barbecue Company isn’t going to change that. I like the small town feel and friendly service. The meat was cooked properly and tender, but not smoked. The sauce was on the side. I added the sauce to the meat, hoping that magic would happen, but the result was just okay. Glad that sweet tea was available, a bit disappionting that it’s not brewed. You won’t go away hungry, just maybe a little disappointed.

Had OBC saved for a couple years and we finally timed it out correctly for lunch. Food was a incredible. fast service, kind. They have a drive through (thought that was neat). Excellent value, phenomenal flavour. I’m not a fan of corn but the buttered corn was a lovely finish to our meal. Brisket yum. Pulled pork was excellent. Bbq sauce is perfect. Potato salad a delight. Chicken chilli yes. Just an awesome stop close to the highway. Don’t skip this one.

** the bathroom is a Porta potty. It’s clean but be aware if you have littles it’s a reach if you needed to assist their bathroom break. I’d recommend finding another bathroom spot if you’re picky.

Very nice set up and location. Worker was nice. Food was horrible. Pulled pork was dry. Ribs had zero rub. Neither had any smoke flavor. Neither the ribs or pulled pork were smoked .
Potato salad tasted like someone went postal with the salt shaker. Corn , beans, and coleslaw all store bought. Worst BBQ I have ever had. Very disappointing as I had heard and read great things.

Oh my gosh! This is the best kept secret in Oregon! A little place off the beaten path. Why they are not a major chain I will never know. Food is down right scrumptious! I had the two meat special for lunch. I am not a big fan of pork ribs but these were so good! There was a smoke ring on them and they were so moist that they needed no bbq sauce. The smoke was there but not overwhelming as well as a slight sweet taste ad well. The other meat I had was the sausage. Lots of sausage smoked to perfection. Wasn’t too salty as some bbq sausages can be overwhelming and was very tasty. Corn was sweet and buttery as well. Best of all was the girl at the window! She was so personable, very friendly and helpful in getting me what I wanted as I had never been here before. There are picnic tables out back but no indoor seating.

My group stopped by here during a road trip and it was good. The flavor of the brisket was well-seasoned but it was a bit dry. However, the price of a salad + meal combo for $20-30 was stellar for the portions

Truly a Traditional BBQ place. Anything you order is delicious. From the different meat dishes. To all there side dishes. There is something for everyone. If you just want meat . They have that also. From a pound. To a rack of ribs . Even sell you one rib . Now that’s a real hometown BBQ place. Customer satisfaction guarantee . Enjoy anything on the menu. I surly have.
