Staff is appropriately attentive – check back with out hovering, offer refills, don’t rush.
Love the grounds and gardens – they grow a lot of their produce including wine grapes, have bee hives, have a chicken coop for egg production and they compost! Love meandering with my beverage!
My only suggestion, I wish they would expand their wine offerings. I’m a red wine drinker and they only offer their own label Cabernet and red blend at the Farm Stand/Coop. They have a fuller selection at the Bar & Table and it would be nice to have some of those options everywhere.
Take home and I look forward to going back for the bbq chicken!
Feels like we paid for the beautiful garden and scenery, because the food was as basic as it gets.
I got a butternut squash salad. Bland and way too many cranberries and no nuts? So uncreative and boring. Fall has the best seasonal veggies, fruits, legumes, nuts, etc and that’s the best a “farm stand” can offer?
My partner got the chicken salad wrap w fries. The fries would have been great if they weren’t covered in salt. Way too much salt.
The chicken salad was watery, had too much mayo not enough texture. Not enough chicken! It was mostly mayo.
We both got water. We had doughnut holes and chicken wings as appetizers. The sauce on the wings was good it was peach BBQ.
So disappointed in a “Farm stand”. When I think of a farm stand I think of fresh seasonal fruits and veggies paired to create a flavorful and well considered experience for the diner.
Instead, I got a thrown together halfhearted arrangement of whatever was easiest.
Not impressed. Way too expensive for the food we got. Hopefully the other Orchard restaurant has more to offer.
The cons were; we found a short and curly hair in the hamburger…
And there is a non-gratuity service fee of 2.5% added to everything you buy including things you buy in the gift shop. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of the sign in the gift shop, but basically it says this non-gratuity service fee is to make sure the employees get a fair living wage….. Somehow I think that falls on the employer and not every guest that buys something on the premises.
I do recommend checking it out.
