Orales is a spot I’ve been going to for years anytime I need my fix for Mexican food. The people here are always cool and the food is really good, I’d highly recommend the choripollo or the Arizona chimichanga. Both are great.
They also have nightly drink specials even on the weekend that can be pretty legit. Everything on the menu is pretty safe, still trying new stuff here when I can convince myself it’s worth it but that dang choripollo pulls me back in most times.

My ladies group had lunch here on a Monday afternoon. Our server was so attentive and did a fabulous job. The food was completely fantastic! Everyone got something different and we all loved the meals. The full bar is vibrant with TVs and they even have some outdoor seating. A gloriously delicious Mexican spot in Asheville.

Absolutely love this Mexican restaurant!!! Such high quality ingredients, amazing flavor, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are so nice – they treat you like family. I eat there at least once a week and never get bored – the menu is so extensive and they come up with new dishes and drinks all the time!! HIGHLY recommend them!!!

Excellent service and HUGEEEE portions! If you pay in cash there is even a discount! Anna served me and was very attentive even though I had to change my order from dining in to a to-go order. She was pleasant and made sure to check on me. This was my first time here as I was just in town for a solo birthday getaway and THREE different places recommended this restaurant! Absolutely the best Mexican food restaurant in Asheville. All the food is fresh and excellently prepared. The owners know how food should be prepared and take pride in serving guests. They will accommodate a special request for food. The drinks are always good and the pours are generous and tasty. Great atmosphere and the restrooms are as clean and modern as the rest of the restaurant. It’s a family owned restaurant and the entire staff works long hard hours to make sure everyone enjoys eating there!! Best place in town, close to home and we love supporting a local family business!!

Orales is our favorite neighborhood stop. The food is fresh (especially the amazing guacamole), the service is friendly and fast. A good margarita at the end of the day is alway a plus. Their pineapple fajita dish is phenomenal and the birria quesadillas are my absolute favorite dish. Good value and good food is a winning combo.

This definitely the Best Tex-Mex in Town! We go at least once a week! The Staff is Amazing and it is Family owned, so we have met the whole Family and some extended Family. They are all so helpful and pleasent to be around. If in the area this is a must go to! I’ll add a few pics of our visit today… definitely 5-Star! Oh btw get the Texas Margarita it is out Favorite!

This is my second time to visit and both experience was very good. Love the Fiesta atmosphere and of course the food. I had their Chicken Enchiladas Biancas & 3 Meat Burrito.
I think their price is reasonable and the serving is big enough with free chips. The servers are friendly and made sure you got everything you need. The food was served fast and hot. I will come back for sure and try other food in the menu. Come and try it!!!

Orales is most definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Asheville and the surrounding areas. We have already been there several times, and each time has been Excellent. Orales is a local family owned restaurant, not a chain, which is always a plus. The whole family works there. Everyone there is extremely nice and accommodating. The wait never has been long at all. It’s a big and very attractive restaurant. They never rush you so you can have a nice relaxing meal. The Top Shelf Margaritas are absolutely excellent, especially when they are prepared by Teresa. Teresa is the mother of the family and is one of the very nicest people you could ever meet. Anyway, back to the food, the chips, bean dip, queso, and salsa bar are all great. As far as entrees go, so far, we have had the chicken, shrimp, and steak fajitas (Texas Fajitas), the #4 Combo, the Bandera Enchiladas, and the 3 Meat Burrito. All have been Excellent! My favorites are the 3 Meat Burrito and Texas Fajitas. The portions are large and the food is fresh. It’s not like some other Mexican restaurants where something like the Fajitas comes out in 3 minutes on a sizzling skillet, but you can tell they were prepared earlier and put in a microwave. I highly recommend Orales and cannot say enough good things about them. The only thing I don’t like is that this is another one of those restaurants that charge for not paying with cash.
UPDATE: Orales is still as great of a restaurant as when they opened. Everything I said in my original review is still true except they may even be better now. We usually get the Texas Margaritas now and they are great. We always ask for Erika and a booth. She is great and never rushes us. A big plus in my opinion since we enjoy taking our time when eating out! We have been getting the Carne Asada sometimes instead of the Fajitas, but both are great. They have the best Carne Asada of any Mexican restaurant.
