It is small inside, but I was not uncomfortable. The decor is beautiful. The tacos and tostadas are delicious and authentic tasting. The customer service was also great. Thank you.

I don’t want to give such a harsh rating, but I just wasn’t happy with the food, service, or environment. For one thing, it was absolutely FREEZING. No heat whatsoever and they refused to close the door. I asked if they could and she claimed that there basically was no door or whatever and then as we were leaving we see the door is finally shut. We had to freeze during our entire meal and then you shut the door right before we go? It’s 50°! Close the door! I got the 3 tacos. I thought the food would be good because of the reviews, but the steak tacos were bland and oddly very GRITTY in texture & the chips came with no guac or salsa. If you want the waitress (the receipt said Rachel) to come back because you need something, good luck with that! She was polite, but practically non-existent & spent a lot of time in the kitchen window on her phone, & we didn’t get water until we asked for it. I would have loved a dip for my tacos since they were kind of dry & seemingly without seasoning. I called her over a few times, but she didn’t hear me and by the time she finally came I was done eating & didn’t need a dip. Wouldn’t recommend & wouldn’t return. Unfortunately the food was basic and I think they have better at Taco Bell. My boyfriend had a very little meat. The bananas were good. And I don’t know how they will have a business in the winter if they refuse to close the door when it’s freezing. If you’re worried about looking closed because there’s no window on the door, change the door! And change the decor while you’re at it because it was pretty tacky and random.

We both had a taco combo with beans and rice. Carnitas and chorizo. Excellent flavors. The beans were perfect and the rice was also quite good. Great great tacos!

Nice little quaint spot in hamden. We were greeted by a nice young lady who sat us and gave us menus. They were out of Margarita mix so we had soda…they were also out of ice. I was ready to go at that point but decided to give the food a try. Very fresh ingredients and nice portions! The fajitas come out sizzling on cast iron plate, great plating as well. It lacked something in the seasoning. The soup was amazing and it hit the spot! It was needed because it was chilly inside. Also seem to have ventilation issues as they were cooking it got smokey and they opened the front door!!! More cold air!!! It was a decent lunch just can’t enjoy my meal if I am not comfortable!

Quality meat and the Tortas were good. This would also be my pick for romantic and or first date as it just has a romantic little village in Mexico vibe. If I had to be nit picky I would point out there is not a lot of seating but the outside seating would be very nice at night.

Everybody’s right about the food being bland, it wasn’t hot, and I specifically called to make sure it was JUST chicken, rice, & beans because people like to put sauce or guacamole and I don’t like those but they lied and said it doesn’t come with any guacamole. Plus I couldn’t even bite through the chicken. Almost like breaking apart 2 magnets

Food was waste of money lesson learn never ever will I ever eat there. Dry as i don’t know what. The amount of meat was a smack in the face. They should be ashamed of themselves. I rather starve than ever eat at this place again.

I went to CT to visit some family and we stopped by to grab a bite and we were so lucky to find this gem of a spot. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food was out of this world. I was craving enchiladas but wasn’t sure if to get green sauce or mole sauce and they mixed both ! How nice of them. We also had some fresh guacamole and chips and a few mixed tacos, shrimp, steak and al pastor which were also so delicious ! My bf had an horchata and I had a Jamaica drink. It was so good, we devoured it we forgot to take more pics LOL. I will definitely be back to try some more dishes ! Best Mexican food in Connecticut!
