Haven’t been to this restaurant since they moved from their old neighbors, IHOP. I was definitely craving some pho but opted for shrimp tempura udon noodles. Kids wanted sushi and crab rangoon. This crab rangoon exceeds expectations because they actually have crab meat in them!! I feel like the only one in town actually! I loved the soup as it was super hot in temperature from the hot bowl, and the tempura veggies and shrimp made this soup extra and yummy. The sushi was fresh and delicious!! Best sushi in the NW side of town.
The atmosphere was cozy. If they sold alcohol I could see this spot being busier, but my kids input was that it seems teenager friendly along with the K-pop music so keep it that way. Overall service was ok, as it wasn’t busy, but hope that service is better if it’s busy.

To go shrimp tempura rolls and California rolls. Sushi rolls were tasty but the chicken fried rice is not good. Have to try other dishes soon. To go order packing should be better.

This place is a MUST if you like Korean and Japanese food. Everything is fresh made and SO delicious! Sushi is fantastic and superior selection. Gyoza dumplings were perfect, and the fried rice is some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly suggest that if you haven’t tried it, GO NOW!! Our server was really friendly, helpful, and sweet. We will for sure be back!

First time eating here, overall was a fantastic experience with service and food both. Enjoyed several appetizers including Sweet & Spicy Chili Chicken Tempura, Gyoza and Crab Rangoon. For main entrees, had several different sushi rolls and nigiri as well as Spicy Pork Bulgogi which was a particular highlight for me. Portions were well sized. The green tea and citron tea were pleasing as well. Parking can be challenging so may need to park in an adjacent lot but definitely worth a little walk. Highly recommended.

Update: I have ordered from Oppa several times since my first review. It’s one of my new favorite places. Today was the very first time I dined in. The service was amazing! The food tasted even better due to presentation and not being taken out, and the atmosphere has a chill vibe that I love! The homemade dumplings were delicious, and the sushi bento box was amazing. You’ve seriously got to check this place out!
Original review: Their sushi is amazing! I do think some of their menu items are priced just slightly too high, but it’s competitive with every other sushi place in Grand Rapids. The first time I ever went, I accidentally ordered way too much, not knowing how big their rolls were, but none of it went to waste. As a matter of fact, I went back for lunch just days later. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me!

Fun little place. The waiter was very patient with my poor pronunciation of the dish names. They made iced tea for me even though it’s not on the menu. The bathroom is tucked away but is clean and tidy. Impressed by how fast the food comes out. Would definitely eat here again.

This place was so good! It has a mom-and-pop feel to it. The service was great and the food was even better! We had the chicken tonkotsu, sweet chili chicken tempura, and spicy ramen. The sweet chili chicken tempura was our favorite, but it was a hard choice because all were great.
