Slow service.. small portions.. expensive.. we ordered Fried Chicken they gave us Chicken Jerky. It was so dry and tough. My son’s hamburger was.so dry it looks like a Jockey puck. ( not being mean, but just an honest review)

If I could give a review with 0 stars, this would be it.
My husband and I walked in and sat at a booth. For 10 full minutes we sat without a single person coming out. No-one. Not an employee in site. The only other people there were a gentleman and a young girl setting at the counter.
We went elsewhere so I’m unable to tell you what the food is like. I can only assume it’s as good as the service.

This was an experience. There is a smell that you notice after sitting for a while. Of open sewer and must. My SO ordered a so-called cheddar melt burger. It was vastly overcooked and the “cheddar” was not cheddar and there was one slice on it. The fries were completely inedible. I asked for wheat toast with my breakfast and got white. The grape jelly had a funky flavor to it. The waitress and cook were pleasant enough but very slow and we had to ask for more drinks. Will not return.

Food was great but service was terrible! Credit card machine was down and it turned into an hour long saga just to pay the bill. The manager did nothing to recompense us for the ordeal it turned into, which was all their doing mind you. No discount even offered to us after we had to go to an atm miles away after which they wouldn’t take the cash because they were not sure of the tax, which we offered to pay at a 20% rate! Food was good and the server was so friendly which is why I am giving them any stars at all

I can’t say poor service since there was no service. Came in with family of 7 knowing they were about to close and they didn’t tell us either. We figured it out when they locked the doors and then still didn’t bother to tell us even then. Decided on our own they must want us to leave only to discover the place is dangerous to be in as well. Deadbolt lock that required getting a key NOT left in the door only to then discover that it required another employee to exit the back door to open it from the outside since they had no other way to open the only visible door. That is completely against all safety and fire codes so reporting that to the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s office. I guess someone else will have to discover if they fixed that or not, along with any other violations they may find, because we have no intention of ever entering the place again to find out and are happy to tell anyone else we know about how bad the place is as well as whoever reads this review. For all I know the food may be great there but no way we are ever going to find out. This is NOT an attempt to “get back” at someone I don’t like since we were never served, told they were closed or even apologized to for it all so, as an educated guess, the food is probably not any better than the service. I can’t possibly give this place a worse review, fewer stars or warn others away enough. I have rarely been in a place this unworthy of business in my 64 years but it ranks up there in the top 5 being the most recent in all the places I’ve been in those years. If I could I would rate it -1000 stars but they don’t give you that option on this site.

We end up going there once or twice a week. We really enjoyed their $5 baskets. They have several to choose from and have come a long way in service from where they used to be. I enjoy going there very much now and I’m very happy with the service and the food.

waitress was sweet and personable. Food mediocre, greasy and my eggs were not cooked as I ordered (too runny). Coffee was good and cup was never empty. Building must be old and updates weren’t very good. Bathroom door doesn’t line up; flooring old, broken, or mismatched; paint where it shouldn’t be; but everything seemed clean.

Me, my fiancé, and my 5 year old son went to eat at this restaurant for the first time last week. It was a good first time experience. They had games “3 in a small room” that kept my son entertained while we waited on our food, the sweet tea is great, the food came out in a timely manner, and most of all our waitress was absolutely amazing! We don’t go out very often, but when we do we plan on going back.

Decided to pop into here on our way back from Alabama – Mom and Pop restaurant that needs a bit of Chef Ramsey help!!
Waitress was yelling across restaurant at the cook line – and seemed like she “owned” the place yelling staff to shut up – you can hear them getting into it well across the restaurant. While the other waitress is screaming “ you guys stop, you were getting along fine earlier” it was quite the scene!
Food was pretty disgusting I took 2 bites and was done, I ordered a side of biscuits, a side of sausage parttys and a side of hashbrowns. Everything came out over cooked, the sausage patty must have been microwaved, and while the gravy on the biscuits was good the biscuit was over cooked and super dry. I basically walked out of there and ran into the gas station for a snack.
Seemed like just a place for locals who don’t mind the screaming wait staff, or dishwasher jamming to music across the restaurant.
