Superb dining experience, particularly for a small town. The dishes were well prepared, service was good, and the ambiance was great. The portions are so large you can barely finish. The desserts are quite good too. Solid marks all around.

Cool restaurant located right in the middle of town . Beautiful restoration done or it has been maintained great for the building which was built in 1860 .
We all ordered steaks and three were cooked perfectly. They had a calamari special for an appetizer. Nice breading on it and good flavor just needed a squeeze of lemon on it for some acid.
I had the filet Oscar style. The parmesan cream sauce over powers the crab but still very tasty . The steak came out medium rare as requested.
Would definitely go back again. Historic and beautiful building with good food and good service .

Well, this is frustrating. The first time we went, the food was great. This time, not so much. I got fried catfish, which was fine but nothing special, and it is expensive. My wife got the Chicken breast sandwich, and it was bone dry. It was large, but really dry and tasteless. Both meals were expensive and not worth it.

Great place to eat. Moderately priced. Hubby and I had the Pot Roast, very delicious and flavorful. We were driving around and was looking for a new place to try. We’re from Belleville, IL, such a wonderful find. Rachel waited on us and was very friendly. Will be back one day. Wonderful decor.
