Over the past 15 years of opening and operating restaurants, including award winning fine dining and speakeasy influenced concepts, we established a meticulous process of tasting and revision that we use for recipe development. In our endeavor to offer the finest hand-crafted cocktails, an idea took hold that we should develop a line of quality spirits that would elevate our beverage offerings and our guest’s experiences. It was this idea that led to the creation of Open Road Distilling Co.

I went to open Road with my friends for dinner last Friday night and it was so good. The vibe in there is so fun and they had the caps game on on all of the TVs. I already want to go back. The pizza was amazing.

This place definitely has a vibe. The atmosphere is both relaxed and trendy. We sat at the bar and the staff was very attentive. We got a couple of beers and a steak pasta dish and blackened fish tacos: delicious! This will definitely be a go to place for us going forward.

SO FUN! THEY GIVE YOU POPCORN! I’m not sure why that made my day, but it totally did! We stopped in for something different and the menu, service & atmosphere were great! Layla, our server, offered some super cool suggestions for beer, apps & dinner. She was friendly, energetic & knew the menu!!! The beer was COLD and hit the spot! We tried the lettuce wrap Cobb app which was fresh and like a mini-salad on a leaf. Dinner was perfect! They also had a fun bar & tasting room, college football & a fun vibe. Highly recommed!

An amazing dinner from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious. A huge shout-out to our server, Rosbin—he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We absolutely loved our experience here. We tried to come once before and the wait was too long, so this time we made a reservation! The food was amazing 10/10. The service was great, our drinks stayed full and we had no issues with food. We went on a Friday night and there was live music which was nice and it wasn’t too loud like some places do! I got the wagyu sliders and they were absolutely delicious! My boyfriend got the Peruvian half chicken and said it was some of the best chicken he’s ever had. We both tried his fries and they were so crispy and had a great crunch to them. We will definitely be returning!!

My brother came in town and we took him to Heirloom to enjoy a few cocktails but instead bought a few bottles of bourbon. Then we went to the restaurant for cocktail and dinner. Our waitress Ciera was EXCELLENT! Extremely nice and knowledgeable . We can’t wait to to bring more family and friends!

Sooo… I ordered a steak and a beer. The beer wasn’t bad, but the steak platter was horrible! First of all, the fries were oily as hell, and the steak was completely tasteless. I asked the server to change the fries and even showed them how greasy they were, they agreed on that and they told me that’s how they make them so the herbs can stick! Whattt?? That was mind-blowing, in the worst way.
Don’t waist your money and go there if you’re actually looking to enjoy food.

I really enjoyed this place and did find everything about pretty favorable. I’m in town for a professional conference in an adjacent hotel and started my Open Road journey by making reservations for 4. An hour later they were able to make the reservation work for 6. Then again 2 hours prior to our appointment I asked if they could bump it up to a party of 8 and once again they were able to make the adjustment. This all gave me a good feeling going in as with each conversation they were exceptionally nice!
The place is VERY roomy with plenty of circulation space. In fact even their restroom was very spacious. Kind of odd I noticed this, I know, but given my profession (Architect) no one should be surprised. The acoustics was also pretty good and while sitting in the middle of the table I could hear to both end seats.
Of our party of 8 everyone cleaned their plates and especially loved the copious appetizers we ordered.
I found the decor to be very nice and made an excellent backdrop. The same conference next year is in the same hotel so right now I plan on revisiting the restaurant.
Oh, and they make pretty good cocktails.

My coworkers and I had an outstanding experience at Open Road in Reston. About a dozen of us arrived in the afternoon immediately after a work function, without a reservation, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Within minutes, they arranged a side room for our group, which made a significant difference given the size of our party and the short notice.
Service throughout the visit was excellent. One member of the wait staff, Katie, in particular went above and beyond. She managed a large group’s food and beverage orders smoothly, stayed attentive, and kept everything moving without making us feel rushed or overlooked. Managing a group that size, especially when everyone arrives at once, is not easy, but she handled it effortlessly.
The combination of great service, flexibility, and a genuinely welcoming attitude made this a standout experience. Open Road handled a potentially challenging situation extremely well, and it left a strong impression. We would absolutely return and would recommend this location without hesitation.

Came here for the first time w my BFF bc we had a hell of a day…. Everyone here is amazing!! bartenders super friendly and kept us hydrated the whole night!! Definitely coming back, they made our night 🙂
