Took my mother in law and wife here to try to have a good brunch. Seems like everything worked out; we had a good time for the most part and the service was really great! I loved how they gave us complimentary popcorn which was really tasty . I got started with my old-fashioned, but unfortunately they didn’t have my Kentucky bourbon . The drink was good though, bartender knew what he was doing, as the drink did the job! I ordered the brunch burger with the fried egg and man it was delicious! Meat was cooked perfectly well and each bite was hitting with MAD flavor! Since they don’t have my Kentucky bourbon, I won’t be back, but place was decent!

Was here with friends to watch the Super Bowl. Staff was very accommodating to the needs of my friends and I, enabling us to get tables together even though we had no reservation. I ordered the Italian Pizza…not bad but next time I’ll have to try the meat lovers. The bread pudding was one of the best I ever had (and responsible for the five star rating on food…otherwise I would have gone with four stars). Finally, I have to give a shoutout to the bar for an awesome Shirley Temple!

I had breakfast here on a weekend. The server was very friendly, super happy with the service. The free popcorn is such a nice welcome gesture. My tacos were good as well.

Ellie was absolutely amazing! Yesterday, we came in with a group of friends and requested all separate checks, and she handled everything perfectly. Her energy was incredible, and she was extremely polite, attentive, and professional throughout the entire visit. On top of that, the food was delicious — everyone ordered something different, and every single person commented on how good their meal was. She made our experience enjoyable from start to finish. Outstanding service and great food — we would definitely come back!!!

Unique menu items (the pictured chicken wraps pulled me in). Large selection of beers, cocktails, and wine. The rustic wood floors, ceiling, and tables disguise the fresh and distinctive flavors (even the sweet potato fries are above average)! Check out the thick and tasty grilled chicken sandwich. Plenty of parking, exceptional service makes this a win-win pick!

Walking in the atmosphere was good. Starting us off with fresh pop corn wasn’t bad expected. But it was good. There was only a small amount of drink choices to choose from for nonalcoholic drinks. They only had coke products and lemonade. There wasn’t a menu regarding nonalcoholic beverages. Wasn’t as comfortable once we sat down as it felt when we walked it. The server that served was new. Cool she did great up until she wanted to give us refill on drinks and bring us back straws that weren’t ours. I explained to her that when she takes the glass if she’s not going to change the glass then let the guest take their straws out before serving us. She brought back drinks that had chewed straws and my spouse and I were completely lost as to who had chewed straws. The food was good the Brussels sprouts could’ve had more sauce the flavor was at the bottom of the dish. The marinara for the calamari tasted watery. The meatball sandwiches wasn’t my favorite. The wings was the best out of the whole experience. I would try a different location of this restaurant again.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Refusal of Service and Unprofessional Conduct
Dear Corporate Management,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to Open Road Grill. I have been a loyal customer for years and have confidently recommended your restaurant to others, including guests visiting from another country.
During this visit, despite a table being available, three members of your service staff refused to seat us. Their conduct was rude and unprofessional, and they were openly laughing, which made the situation uncomfortable and embarrassing. This behavior was unacceptable and does not reflect the standards I associate with Open Road Grill.
I was particularly disappointed because this experience occurred while hosting international guests, and it reflected poorly on a restaurant I have consistently trusted. No customer should feel disrespected or denied service in such a manner.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and reviewed promptly. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding how this issue will be addressed to prevent similar situations in the future.
Sincerely,
Mia

I (we) have dined at the Merrifield location multiple times. Any place can have one good day but Open Road delivers consistently. Not just tasty, well prepared dishes but prompt, attentive service, housekeeping and overall smooth operations are a way of life here. I was in the restaurant business and retail food management 47 years before my retirement. I observe what everyone’s doing, or in some unfortunate instances, not doing. Teamwork, respect, genuine comraderie seems to be present from foyer to BOH. This doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a product of proper management techniques. All the physical aspects of the dining experience are a byproduct of these simple yet often times overlooked principles. You guys ace it on a regular basis. You have competition right down the street. You guys are definitely giving them a run for their money. Keep it up!

This is a cool, somewhat upscale casual sportsbar chain. On my first visit I would have rated a 5. The food, drinks and service were very good. However my second visit was for brunch on a Sunday and not as good. No issues with service at all. My issue was with the pizza that I ordered. I ordered the large sized meats pizza. This thing was loaded with so much pepperoni that it was literally drenched in grease. I should have taken pictures but at the time I wasn’t planning on writing a review about it. However upon the conclusion of our visit and reheating what I didn’t finish I thought I must. This is one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, if not the worst. It is loaded with so much pepperoni that the crust won’t hold it, even after a reheat with a few extra minutes in the oven to try and make it crispy. It collapses in your hands like loose dough. It’s literally like they took individual packages of pepperoni and applied one to each slice. Maybe this is a one-off and it was just carelessly made. However, if this is the recipe standard it is somewhat baffling. There was literally enough grease to fill up a 16 oz measuring cup, which left the pizza extremely soggy, even on the reheat at home. I’m honestly unsure what audience a pizza with 20 plus pieces of pepperoni plus other meats per slice is supposed to appeal to. How could this pass any sort of taste or quality test at corporate? Again, maybe I just got a pizza someone dumped everything on and wasn’t supposed to. I don’t know. However I would recommend anyone eating here to stay away from the pizza.
