This place is very welcoming. Their fish sandwich is the best around. Great apps as well!!! Prices are spot on. Do yourself a favor and check this place out when you stop in Lucas.

I really liked this little diner. Loved the Bible verse on the wall! My daughter loved the funny jokes around the seating area. There are two large booths, and possibly two bar stool seats. They had homemade desserts available, such as pie, or cheesecake. The food was tasty. The service was great.

Food was good esp. the fresh-cut FF’s. Dining room lacked ambience. No patrons were there when we were. Staff are in a separate area. Background music would help fill the void.

Called in order – hot and ready when I got there. Good bread, good meat, let’s eat!

Home town coziness, great food and real friendly people. Don’t think it can get much better. Daily specials and incredible desserts. I got the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Sub and my mom had the Pulled pork sandwich. Both were quite good. Will be going back.

Great place to grab lunch! The food is a good price and tastes great. The staff is super friendly and really seems to enjoy what they do. I get really excited when I “forget” to pack a lunch because that means I get to enjoy some awesome food from Open Door.

Im not one to complain…but my goodness I don’t understand these positive reviews. We ordered 2 subs…meatball sub (okay..but nothing special) & a veggie sub ( gross. It was like a clump of veggie pizza toppings shoved onto a soggy bun)
Side garden salad ( so cheap and bland)
Pork tenderloin was decent for sure ( only thing that was somewhat good)
Fried pickles were those tiny pickles you put on a hamburger. Not pickle spears. Batter was yuck.
Chicken wings were edible but that’s it, better ones at the grocery store.
“Homemade” cheery crisp ( waaayyy too sweet yuck)
And finally the “tomato cucumber salad” was straight up gross. It was more like a mayonnaise soup with cucumber and tomato in it!!!
1st time and last time at this restaurant 🙁
