We stop at Opa’s whenever we’re in Fredericksburg. They have an awesome selection of sausages and cured meats, and their Hog Head Cheese is the best I’ve ever tried. I recently ordered some products for the holidays and it was at my house in two days. Not only that, they sent a handwritten Christmas card thanking us for our order. Amazing business, amazing people.

Amazing food and customer service! We catered an event with the boxed lunches (which they allowed us to customize for our needs) and one of the meat and cheese trays. Tim and Chris were both awesome, delivered the food to our door and made sure everything was perfect! I also picked up a bunch of stuff on the way home for personal use and love the smoked chicken salad, German potato salad, and jalapeño and cheddar sausage! I have a few more things to try that I bought, but I have all the confidence it’ll all be delicious.

My family and I were visiting Fredericksburg, TX for a few days and walked into this amazing gourmet food and smoked meats shop. We asked if (same day) they could make a charcuterie board for our family (four young children and two adults) to share, and they made it happen in a few hours. The food was amazing with generous portions and beautiful presentation. Our only regret is that we did not get the name of the lovely lady that assisted us. A wonderful experience all around!

We love Opa’s! We have been twice (2022 during our honeymoon & 2023 for our 1st anniversary). This small meat market has good food and great people!
Location: easy to find by gps. You notice their sign coming down the road. Parking is right off the road or in their small parking lot. Close to main street.
Atmosphere: welcoming and friendly. They allow you to sample if you’d like. They also serve sandwiches and sides. When we went on a Saturday early morning, it smelled of delicious bacon!
Service: friendly and open to talking. We didn’t feel rushed. They were able to make recommendations. The cashier was very sweet and positive.
Food: deli meats, cheeses, bottle drinks, sandwiches, bratwurst, jarred items, German foods, etc. We got their blueberry cheese, smoked green onion cheese, jarred Sauerkraut, and hog head cheese.
Extra: we attended the Oktober fest where Opa’s served food. We got their bratwurst and sauerkraut & bacon dog and omg- so good!!

We have bought this brand of sausage at HEB and we were elated to find out the main hub was here! We bought a few packs of sausage and were offered samples. Very friendly staff! I grabbed these fluffy gingerbread cookies on the way out. They were amazing! Go check this place out!
