Fantastic local food. Told I need to try the Double Decker Hamburger. The catfish was good.

I used to frequent Opal’s, but since they no long serve breakfast I haven’t been there much. I visited recently for lunch, though, and was pleased overall. My burger was great. The fried potatoes (which is the reason I went) where good overall, but too many were crisp and/or hard and nearly black. The strawberry pie was great. They were packed, so service was slow, but that’s to be expected. My waitress was very friendly and apologetic for the slow service. Good experience overall.

Great place for lunch! Inexpensive menu, but don’t let the prices fool you. This place has super good home cooked food. I had baked ham, green beans, and fried potatoes. It was like being at Grandma’s house on Sunday. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

A call in order that was to take 20 mins for pic up. The daily special and. A burger took close to a hour went twice to pick it up! The first time paid for the order in full second time I go to pick it up I was questioned if I had actually paid for it! The food was good but customer service none. Very delayed in receiving the food if u are just grabbing to go I would suggest against maybe dine in would been better!!!!! Very disappointed… Wish there was a half star to choose from a full star seems a little much!

Hello, my name is Gabe Blevins, and I had been moving into my new house down the road from Opal’s in “Grayhawk” when I first ate here. I can honestly say that this restaurant is the best place to enjoy a home-cooked meal when you are in the area. The waitresses are very kind to the customers, and will see to your satisfaction. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. You are greeted by your waiter/waitress almost as soon as you sit down, which I find very nice. Now, keep in mind this restaurant is in a small town in a rural area. The menu has many different foods to choose from. Although Opal’s does not serve breakfast, they make up for it with their delicious lunch appetizers and meals, along with their tasteful dinner choices. Really, no matter what you decide to order on the menu, I bet you will leave Opal’s full and wanting to come back again to try something else. Most of the time, your order will be served to you very quickly. This is another quality I enjoy about this restaurant, that your food doesn’t take nearly as long as most dine – in restaurants. The burgers are made of hand-pressed patties of ground beef, from what I could tell… and the specials that are written on the whiteboard next to the front door, are mostly and/or completely homemade. And the last thing I want to say is that there are two waitresses who work here, who are extremely good at their job. They always make me want to order something else just so they will come to the table again. One of these women is the owner’s daughter, and I don’t know who the other young lady is, but she is very friendly and pretty. Sooo, if anyone reading this has not yet had the wonderful experience of eating here, I advise you to come enjoy a hot meal at my local “Opal’s” diner. THANK YOU!

It’s a 1 star because I cant go lower. I will never be back here. I waited for 15 minutes for a menu and another 35 for an order of deep fried mushrooms. The gentleman across from me got there and ordered before me and didnt get his food by the time I left. The owners need to step up to this problem or they wont have a store

Stopped in few weeks ago around 2:30. Three of us for late lunch.
Two had meatloaf, with mash potatoes and green beans. I had chicken strips with fries and slaw.
Meatloaf was burnt so that was disappointing. My strips were good and so was the slaw. Fries seemed frozen. Portions were large. Disappointed for price. Would give another try, just not at the end of the day.
