Been to Opa Time twice food has been great both times. Well seasoned and ingredients felt fresh. My first time customer service was not the best, but food was ready in timely manner and taste great. Will definitely keep coming back.

This place had the BEST gyros. New owners now, and I don’t think the gyros are made fresh to order anymore. Sometimes they come out pretty hot, but others it is a little on the warm and dry side. When going to the bathroom I can see that they are storing the gyro meat in a container waiting for orders. Gyros are still the same otherwise, though the fry portions seem smaller. Kind of disappointing overall though. Previous owners had an excellent system and my food was ALWAYS hot. I think they need to take another look at their process with the gyros because it has not been consistent.

The burgers on the other hand are excellent. Every time I have ordered them I see it being grilled fresh and the smash burger has a nice char on the edges — as they should. New owner says they are using beef tallow for burgers and fries and I believe them. Honestly one of the best places to grab a burger in town IMO.

I just came from the restaurant through the drive-thru waited about 15 to 20 minutes in the Drive-Thru not a big deal if you’re waiting on good food. my brother’s a renal patient and he seems to like their food.I don’t know if these are the original owners or new owners while I was sitting waiting for my food in the Drive-Thru window I observed a Caucasian male skinny curly hair long -tied back with no gloves on.no gloves on!!! making orders at the same time tossing the food into his mouth with no gloves on preparing those orders. Literally tossing food in his mouth. Wiping his mouth every now and then. The workers that were in that area which was an elderly lady that was doing the frying of the meat.a non Caucasian male in the window. I did confront ask the guy in the window and asked him why his coworker was doing that and he asked his co-worker right in front of me no words because the guy that was tossing the food in his mouth from the orders he was preparing was walking by to go to the back area! why he was doing that and he stated to him in front of me at window,he had nothing to say just yeah! I no!! I do have it on video dash camera and video.I will be trying to reach out to the owners. The person tossing the food in their mouth look very comfortable doing it so I’m assuming!! that this is something they do on a regular basis yes they!!! Cause the guy in the window was watching him do it the guy that was in the Drive-Thru window had his back to the drive-thru window and was facing directly at him when he was doing it taking orders from drive through never again will I go to this place. I forgot to mention that he did come back out with gloves and proceeded to make more orders.*if you have a low car you won’t be able to see in there if you’re sitting at the drive-thru.but if you have a big truck u see everything.

We go here a lot and the food is amazing. They changed their fries, I prefer the other fries they had.

They should probably clean the salt and pepper shakers and bottles. The salt shakers look dirty and they are usually sticky.

Would recommend going

This place was great I went earlier today! I saw a comment earlier and a Karen was complaining about an employee eating pickles in the back? Lady be so fr he wore gloves after I don’t see the problem? Recording without consent isn’t cool either did you know that? I think the employees were really nice and I don’t think they deserve any hate seriously. Calling a specific person out like that is crazy behavior. Food is great people are great I’m coming back idc what a crazy lady has got to say!!!!!

I haven’t been in a long time, since the owner changed, and I placed my usual order the fries were so heavily coated in salt that it was inedible. The burger was pretty bland, which is ironic. I wish I could add the photo of how bad it was. I called the restaurant and tried reaching out on socials but no one ever responded.

What a shame, Opa was one of my favorite local spots ever in the Siouxland and now I do not know if I would ever go back.

The food is good, even the new fries I like. Menu is much smaller and so are the portions. Now focuses on burgers versus Greek Food. The customer service is horrendous. No friendly greeting, they simply blurt out “OPA TIME” loudly at the drive thru to then be greeted by some long haired homeless looking staff member who seems absolutely pissed you even stopped by. Why even support a business if they are like this. Neither staff members said thanks, welcomed us, or even spoke besides when ordering.

The old owners and their family who worked there were always friendly, always grateful you stopped in, and made sure your experience was great. Will never go back now that the owner of Little Caesars next door ruined it. Absolutely sad.

I had the Philly Gyro with fries. Definitely way more food than I had expected, at a good price. Everything was great. I will definitly be coming back here.

I have only been there twice since the new owners and both times have been epic failure. I went there tonight and order a gyro with only cheese and barbecue sauce and the cashier asked me to repeat the order then I get home and it’s made the regular way. I call and say what they did wrong and they want to argue over the phone about my food! Safe to say they don’t give a shit about the food or service they put out.

Food was really good, fries were perfectly crispy and hot, gyro Philly was hot and very tasty. Service was par, nothing special, nice enough dudes. Kind of a dive style interior, boring.
