We ordered the Salmon Avo roll, Black Ninja roll, and Yam Tempura roll. All were impressively fresh, with a clean taste and a well-balanced rice-to-fish ratio. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, making for a satisfying sushi experience.

This place is a standout star in Prince Rupert. I highly highly highly recommend! My roommate and I have been here several times and every time the staff has been so lovely and accommodating, the food is always delicious (can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but the Pokè is my absolute favorite!). The seafood tastes so fresh, and coming from Vancouver, that’s a huge compliment! I can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you love sushi!

I’ve been going to Opa for a few years whenever in Rupert, and I always looked forward to their delicious hefty rolls. Unfortunately over the past year, perhaps it’s under different management, but the rolls have become TINY. Just spent > $30 on 2 specialty rolls (which looked beautiful and bountiful on the menu of course), and this is what I got. Disappointed
PS – it’s interesting that all the recent reviews are 5 stars, and the restaurant reports any low-star reviews… Invitation for the owner to respond on this review.

Stopped off here on Alaskan cruise, stumbled across Opa Sushi and decided to give it a try. Great atmosphere and sushi – definitely out of the way but if you have a chance you don’t want to miss this one.

Opa Sushi has always been one of my favourite restaurants to eat at when I’m in Prince Rupert! I thought the food was so great the first time I went there years ago, that I ended up coming back the very next night again… And I make sure to get a meal there every time I visit Prince Rupert.

What a pleasant surprise! Locals told me to stop by here for sushi and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the selection is great. Funky, cozy place with really, really delicious sushi! I can’t wait for my next trip to Prince Rupert to come here again.
