One of my regular spots. Decent food! Decent service! More chill atmosphere than other locations. 🙂 The restaurant week was happening so I had to sit down at the bar but all good-. Although I didn’t try the restaurant week menu. It was way better last year.

Very quick and friendly service. Reservation was made effortlessly through Yelp and the restaurant opened for dinner promptly at 5:30pm. The food was very fresh and definitely satisfied my wife’s and my nostalgic craving ever since returning from our honeymoon in Japan. My wife ordered the pork kimchi nabe, which was very heart warming and filling. We asked for more broth since all the ingredients soaked up most of the broth, and the staff quickly got us more broth! I ordered the Sakura set with a side of curry rice and half an order of pork katsu. The Sakura set was aesthetically pleasing and tasted delicious, I especially enjoyed the little pickled radish shaped as sakuras that decorated each component of the Sakura set! The curry was mediocre, for it only had small pieces of onions in it, I definitely think adding some bits of carrot or potato would’ve made it even more delicious. Half an order of pork katsu cost 8 bucks (if I recall correctly), which is quite expensive for such a small portion. Although it tasted great, I think a full piece of pork katsu for 8 bucks might make it more worth it. Overall we had a pleasant experience and we definitely enjoyed our little date night here.

Was looking forward to visit this location but overall food was just OK. Shrimp dumplings were nice. The Crispy Rice sushi special although only $64 was way too much rice crispies & overpowering the seafood. Sake was the best quality for value $40 for bottle of cold Junmai.

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city lies a hidden gem, Ootoya. The moment I stepped inside the restaurant, it was clear that I had been transported into an authentic Japanese haven. The delicate balance between modern lines and traditional Japanese decor lend a cozy and comfortable ambiance.

Good quality fish, but it is pricey and the portions are really small. I ordered the Bara Chirashi Don (assorted sashimi over sushi rice). The don came in two sizes, small for $22 and regular for $31. Because I had already eaten something before coming to the restaurant, this was effectively “second dinner” for me, and I chose the small size. When I finished though, I was still pretty hungry. My friends, who had not eaten anything before coming here and ordered regular sizes of the dons, were also hungry after finishing, and decided to go to Shake Shack.

This is a restaurant located in downtown manhattan, near Union Square. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The dessert is delicious. We have ordered hotpot, they are delicious. However the portion is a bit small. There are hand sanitizer on the tables and the restroom is very clean. The waiters are polite and helps us to refill water and hot tea.
