We’ve eaten at Thai places in various cities and states and were super pleased with Oolong. I had the pad thai with tofu, mild spice. The pad thai itself was delicious – one of the best I’ve had. The tofu was too soft for my liking though – I would’ve preferred it crisp on the outside. Mild spice was rather hot! My lips and tongue were tingling a bit, lol. So just a warning to anyone who isnt used to Thai heat levels. My husband had the pho with beef which he loved. I tasted rhe broth and it was heavenly. Could definitely taste the star anise. We also had the lobster rangoons and the chicken veg dumplings, all wonderful. Place is small and it was busy. At first there was only one server and she was doing a good job of keeping up, but it didnt allow for much interaction with the customers. Only thing I didnt like was that they charged 25 cents for my to-go box. It’s not the amount – it’s the principle. Never had a restaurant charge me for that before.

What a lovely relaxing dining experience. I enjoyed a bowl of Beef Pho and iced Vietnamese coffee. It was so good, I only have a picture of the after. Thank you for the welcome and comfortable experience. The beautiful swag lights and simple rustic decor were perfectly paired with smooth jazz in the background.

Oolong Asian Cuisine was a great stop. The Pad Thai at the hottest heat had awesome flavor without being overwhelming. I also tried the miso ramen, which was rich and tasty, and the lobster rangoons were pretty good too. A solid spot for flavorful, comforting dishes.

Located at 145 W 11th St, Oolong offers an inviting Eastern‑Asian fusion kitchen with excellent pho, lobster rangoon, and rich miso ramen featuring pork belly and mushrooms. I loved the pad Thai and Thai basil stir‑fry too. Each dish felt carefully balanced, flavorful, and fresh. The décor is bright and relaxed, and staff are helpful and courteous. A smart choice for those craving authentic noodle soups and Asian‑inspired bowls in a calm setting.

I was concerned, the menu read as a greatest hits of all Asian food, squews vietnamese. The pho was good though. Really liked the thai lime iced tea, wasn’t like regular thai tea with the condensed milk.

We stayed at an AirBnB and the host left a menu for this place on the coffee table. TOTAL SCORE!!! We were in Dubuque for a wedding that started at 2pm. We needed to eat since the dinner wasn’t served at the wedding until 6, but we didn’t want to go out to eat and risk being late/messing up our makeup and clothes. We ordered food to go so we could eat while we were getting ready. OMG what a treasure!!! The owner of this place has a cool life story, too. Next time we’re in Dubuque we’ll eat inside the place but wow. The Lobster Rangoon was impressive and dare we say perfect. The Pad Thai was a pristine ratio of everything and the flavor was outstanding. The Pork Bao had that insanely tasty combo of Chinese five spice and cilantro and expertly cooked meat. The dumplings were a spur of the moment purchase by my husband who picked up our food. They were plump, moist, (I knowwww that word is the worst but it works here) and chewy and crispy and divine. We felt really lucky to be staying so close to this place and to get to eat art! Can’t speak to the ambiance but the place was packed every time we walked by so it’s not a secret that it’s a must-eat.
