We have visited Ooka many times,
and it never disappoints. The interior is simple , but the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
They have a great variety of food choices, but the sushi is the real star. For the price point, the quality is on a very high level—everything is incredibly fresh and made with top-tier ingredients.
Our absolute favorite appetizer is the Baked Mussels; we order them every single time. Highly recommend

Ooka is a sushi spot I go to on the regular. Food is always delicious. In previous visits service is always great. The last few times I had Amywu who is ALWAYS a pleasure. However, today I had an experience that was very off putting. May was very rude and inattentive. From the very beginning we were rushed which is just not okay. I think these are the type of employees that can ruin an establishment’s ENTIRE reputation. After the bill was paid in which we were rushed for. We waited 20 mins for a box because she never returned. So I had to find her and ask for one. How unprofessional is that after she lingered at the table for the check? Completely unacceptable. Last time me and my friends will be at Ooka.

Was celebrating a friends birthday with a group of friends(11). Made reservations but still had wait about 30 minutes. When seated , seats were tight with little room to be comfortable. Grill had old food remnants on it. Most of us ordered one of the more pricey items on the menu. I had the surf and turf where the lobster was over cooked and tough. When completing our meal, we had brought a cake which we felt pressure to “hurry up” and pay and leave. Hostess, manager stood behind our group as we completed collecting the money asking at least 3 times were we ready to pay.
I understand that restaurants are in the business to make money. But this service left me uncomfortable and would not recommend this establishment.
Don’t take reservations so close together, make seating more comfortable(not just putting chairs so close together to herd people in), and parking was horrible!!
If you don’t want people to stay and enjoy the experience, put a time limit on the experience so people know up front.

I usually dine in with the food and service being great, but Friday, 2/27/26, I ordered a takeout. When my grandson and I sat down to eat at home, everything was good except for the 2 orders of shrimp tempura. Without a doubt, they sold me old shrimp tempura. So disgusting that I just threw them all in the trash. So just don’t do take out!!!
