We have eaten here several times. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing, being directly on the water. The service is friendly and accommodating. The interior is cute and there is a lovely, huge deck for outside dining and I believe dancing at night.
We dined there yesterday. This time we each ordered an Eggplant Caprese and shared an order of onion rings. The sandwiches were sizable and we realized we could have shared one.

I really wanted to like this place. The pictures online make the food look really appetizing & the menu is huge. However we did not have a good experience. I paid $87 for 3 kids meals, a large fry, a salad, and an extra large sub. The large fry was more like a small. The salad was disappointing and small for the $22 it cost. One of the burgers from the kid’s meal was way undercooked. The sub was labeled extra large but was literally a regular sized sub cut in half. We had ordered online and it said it would be ready in 25 minutes but ended up having to wait over an hour for our food to be ready for take out. This place is very over priced for the quality of their food.

I wanted to enjoy this place bc I thought it was an owner getting a bad rap. We ordered 3 food items, each one didnt come out at same time. The grilled cheese barely looked held together, the cheeseburger is on an English muffin so my child didn’t eat it. We got a quesadilla, when it arrived it was made with mozzarella cheese or American, on a spinach roll. We were just going to not eat it and say nothing, we had already paid and didnt want to cause issues. The waitress asks us about it and we just said we didnt like it and weren’t going to eat it, no need to get the owner.

I explained it was not at all like authentic Mexican food, I thought it would be prepared in the style of the culture it originates from. He told me I was racist and he doesn’t tolerate that and ” thats how we make it”. If anything its lazy and cultural appropriation to butcher a simple easy thing to make, and maybe it should say made American style or be removed from menu. Friendlys has more flavor than what we were served in their quesadillas. I wasn’t asking for money back and the altercation could’ve been avoided, I didnt ask want or need for him to approach us. I was not expecting the entire confrontation, it sent me into fight or flight.. I am not proud of the word I called him in front of kids ( although accurate) and others, and how I responded. I wish we just went to Marc Anthony’s or any other place. I’d suggest you do the same. Looking at the reviews, it appears he has a history himself of discrimination and overcharging, and will argue if anyone wants their money back,one story where the customers were in the right and the police still had to ask them to leave. Another a customer assaulted, no wonder I felt unsafe. Sheisty business. I should have remembered what Gordon Ramsey said.. the bigger the menu the less quality, this fits his restaurant.

Cool little place with outdoor seating, but I was not impressed with the food. Menu says the burgers are 1/4 pound hand packed angus meat. That is not the case. My burger was horrible. the meat was like rubber, it was overcooked and greasy. I took one bite and that was it. I think the place has potential, but the menu is too massive.
Also it’s carry out so if you want to go sit and have dinner and a few drinks you’re walking up to the counter to get a drink every time and the line can get long.

Frank (the owner) is the man he aims to please everyone he’s super personable and wants to deliver the best food he can to your table. my father and I traveled around the cape for 4-5 days and this restaurant is one of the best you’re going to find without taking out a loan. The customer service is top notch and we will be back every time we are in the area. Till next time Frank

I had an Italian sandwich! The cold cuts & condiments were so fresh & the bread, Baked from scratch on the premises . We also had a chicken sandwich ( 2 pieces of chicken)with grilled red peppers garlic little balsamic etc delicious. Definitely fans❤️

Very friendly, great atmosphere… terrible food. I ordered the Haddock and it tasted and smelled old. I sent it back. The gentleman assured me it was fresh as of this morning. I bit into the second piece and the SAME taste and smell. I took it to go and before I got home (15min) the car smelled of old , stale, rotten fish. I’m glad I didn’t eat i, it was sickening. No intention or interest in going back. Not worth the $150 investment (not including tip) Signed very disappointed!

Had dinner here before a sunset cruise out of Onset harbor. Very casual place. Order at the counter, and they will bring it to your table out on the deck overlooking the beach and water. Food was very good. We had a cold lobster roll and a tuna Melt Panini. They do validate your parking in the nearby lot, but make sure to ask BEFORE you pay your bill as they take $$ off the amount.

I ordered a steak and rice pilaf dinner and was given a kids round bowl with only 4 pieces of steak tips and barely any rice for the price of $30. I tried talking to the owner and he put his finger up in front of my face and told me “hold on”, all I said was “excuse me Sir,” and then when he came to talk with me, he told me that’s what I’m going to get for being at the beach. This is ridiculous, to pay $30 for a plate of food that is enough to fill up a small childs stomach and having to endure the owners disrespectful attitude on top of that. I asked for a refund as I did not touch or eat the food and he ignored me and walked away. My parents and I have been coming to Onset Beach for many years and my father is the well known Mr. Sandman, our family is well known and respectful to all and I am highly disgusted how I was treated at this place. I am never going to eat her again.
