This establishment is amazing. Not only was the food incredibly delicious, but our server made our experience even better. Sitting at the bar was fun and comfortable. They also had really good green tea.

This place is a true gem! The **shrimp tempura hand rolls** are absolutely the best—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly made. The **miso soup** is rich and comforting, served hot with just the right balance of ingredients.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed meal, this spot delivers every time. Highly recommend!

such a hidden gem in the temecula area! it’s a fairly new hand-roll bar that i drive over an hour for. the fish is always fresh and buttery, servers are also attentive and friendly. what keeps me returning is how affordable the prices are in comparison to other spots without jeopardizing the quality! i will keep coming back 🙂

A friend brought me here so she helped me order the Taste of Onori set menu ($55). It comes with all that’s listed in photo. You can ask them to tell you what is what. Rice does fall apart, but each bite was tasty. I thought it would be too much food but there was room for SomiSomi next door. The place is small. They have a long bar and a few tables in the back. Service was friendly and fast. Be sure to check their open times. Tried to go at 3:30pm but they opened at 4:30pm on a Thursday.

My new favorite sushi place in this area! So happy that there’s finally a spot for good nigiri and sashimi! Been here twice and both times provided same results so I know they are at least consistent. It’s not a spot for large groups or if you want to order all those “specialty” rolls with 8+ ingredients. It’s a place where you really want to tastes the fish and even the rice.
Prices are very reasonable for my mini omakase and even for the main omakase…and you get a good variety of things.
Smaller menu than what most people are used to but really good selections

We stumbled upon this newly opened sushi restaurant in Temecula during a spontaneous spa weekend getaway—and what an absolute blessing it turned out to be. Opened just last week, this place is already delivering an experience that rivals some of the best sushi we’ve had in Japan.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed with exceptional service. The staff was attentive, gracious, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience. The interior is clean, modern, and beautifully designed—with thoughtful little touches that make the entire space feel aesthetically pleasing without being overdone.
But what truly blew us away was the food. Every piece of sushi was masterfully prepared, and the quality of the fish, the perfect amount of rice, and the delicate marination made each bite feel like something you’d find in a quiet corner of Tokyo. You could taste the craftsmanship and care in every dish. My husband and I kept looking at each other in disbelief at how good everything was. It was heaven in your mouth.
We had no expectations—after all, sushi in the middle of the desert? But this restaurant has set a new bar. It’s the kind of place we’ll make time to drive out for, again and again.
A special thank you to the Sushi Bar Chef./Owner Chris for the complimentary dish—we could feel the passion behind the food, and it didn’t go unnoticed.
To anyone considering it: don’t hesitate. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or just looking for a standout dining experience, this is a must-visit.

The sushi is 5/5. Some of the best I’ve had in town, and that’s coming from a guy who lived in Japan during my Navy days. The ramen ain’t so great unfortunately. I guess I have a specific way I’m used to eating ramen with pork both in Japan and the restaurant Fun Bowl in town. I tried the ramen and the pork looked and tasted like something yanked off a China Buffet. But everything else about this restaurant is amazing in my eyes. I guess I’d advise this place to maybe just ditch the ramen efforts or take a trip to other ramen places to get an idea of how it ought to be. Sushi is my religion though, and they knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back for more, rest assured.

Unbelievable! Finally a real sushi restaurant in Temecula and not just over-sauced combo rolls which we find everywhere else. This is real sushi and so so fresh. Chris the owner and Chef is mastering his craft and it shows. Only the freshest fish and carefully curated set menu takes the brainwork out of deliciousness. And the prices are very cheap relative to the quality you get. Simply delicious and amazing. Atmosphere is upscale and the service was fantastic. If you try anything, get the black cod. It is melt in your mouth to die for!

Onori offers delectable and high-quality melt in your mouth sushi. Every piece is crafted with precision and fresh ingredients, making it a treat for sushi lovers like me. The flavors are exquisite, and the presentation is beautiful. The only downsides in this small establishment is sushi on the pricier side and cook time can be long but if you’re looking for quality, this makes the cut.
