Right in the Fruitvale Station Shopping area , Ono serves up nice portions of hawaiian plate lunches. It tends to be fairly busy but not too crowded for all the times that I visit this place. You can always find a table or area inside to enjoy your meal. My favorites are the Hawaiian bbq mix and the seafood mix. The Hawaiian mix has bbq beef,short rib,and bbq chicken with a scoop of Mac and rice. The seafood mix has the batter fried shrimp,fried fish ,and bbq chicken with a scoop of rice and Mac. You can help yourself to the self serve sauces they have on the side. The teriyaki sauce is darker,bold,and has a more umami taste to it. The katsu sauce is more lighter,tangy sweet and sour, and a bit spicy.

Got this delivered by uber eats and thought it was alright, but the portions were not worth it to be honest! I’ve seen other Hawaiian places load up their plate but this was barely a good portion for the price in my opinion.

The cashiers were extremely nice! My food wasn’t the best. My crab rations were oily and nasty. I got 1 piece of broccoli and lots of cabbage. I’m honestly afraid to even eat the fish the way that it looks! My rice is overcooked The macaroni salad is HOT!!! I paid almost $25 for this food & waited for over 25 minutes for THIS! It was my 1st time & LAST at this location! I will travel like I’ve been from now on to the San Leandro location! I eat there nearly everyday and I’ve NEVER had a bad experience!

Super fast and great service. Got the BBQ & Katzu mix it was great. The chicken Katzu was perfectly tender, bbq beef and chicken very well cooked for as fast as it came out.
Tasted perfect, even the Mac salad was *almost like on the islands.
Only missing Loco Moco.

I ordered online and they did not have my food ready even though I arrived 15 min after my order was “ready”. They didn’t even have my order on their end, they had to use my phone to see what I ordered. I asked the cashier for a refund if it wasn’t ready and she ignored my request. I ordered ahead of time because I was in a time crunch. I got the salad with chicken and it was nothing out of this world. Total for the salad= $13.22
