This company has the best coupons that come in the mail… lots of BOGO deals which got me to try this restaurant. I got a free Mini plate with an order of a regular plate with a combination of Katsu chicken and Hawaiian BBQ chicken. The food was good, and portion sizes were huge. The service was fast and friendly. I also appreciated that this location is very clean, including the bathrooms. I also appreciate the location being next to Trader Joes where I like to shop.

I was disappointed with my experience at Ono Hawaiian BBQ. I ordered a Chicken Katsu plate online and customized all four sides to be macaroni salad, which the app clearly allows.
When I picked up my order, I was only given three sides. I asked about the missing fourth, and the front desk employee kindly checked with two managers. Both managers said no, explaining that the macaroni salad “can’t touch the hot chicken,” which makes no sense and has nothing to do with me simply receiving the fourth side I ordered and paid for.
I understand it’s just a side, but it’s about the principle. I wasn’t asking for anything extra, just what I paid for. If there’s a limit on sides, it should be clearly stated on the app instead of charging customers for something they won’t receive.
The managers also avoided speaking to me directly and left the front desk employee to handle the situation, which wasn’t fair to her. Because of this, I don’t trust this location to honor what they advertise, and I won’t be returning.

I have always enjoyed Ono Hawaiian bbq but recently it has not been the same recently. My beef always comes with so much fat and my chicken is always undercooked. Today I ordered a plate and my beef was super undercooked and my chicken wasn’t as bad but it was a little on the pink side and the meat had a little bit of a smell to it. I am very disappointed in my service as the pieces have also increased but the quality has decreased.

We came in today.
We saw the sign when we were coming out of trader Joe’s.
Yum.
I got crispy shrimp and a side of the volcano shrimp, they were the bomb! The sides, sticky rice, macaroni salad and tons of veggies.
Hubs got katsu chicken and BBQ beef with bomb sides!
As we waited for our food we sat where I could see everyone ordering.
I’m astounded at the people who are rude to the precious people that work there.
Rude people are unaware that the people that work there don’t need extra grief.
Be kind.
We highly recommend this awesome place and the awesome people that work there!

I haven’t even had a chance to try the food as it is clearly not the food I ordered. I have dietary restrictions (not by choice) so I ALWAYS make sure to order the food that’s appropriate for me. Secondly my partner and I are at work, we got a 911 call so I was unable to check my food until now, I will take some accountability for that. Lastly, if I was a person with a food allergy to Mayo, gluten, egg or any other ingredient I would experience a mild reaction at best, but it could be deadly to some. Now I’m out Vegetables and instead of Beef I have crispy chicken and I can’t even eat the 2 scoops of Macaroni salad. That’s without mentioning that my partner also got the wrong plate of food and because of work we are forced to deal with it. Please start training your employees to check and double check the food they send out before someone gets hurt. Maybe next time I’ll have nicer words but for now I’m highly disappointed in the quality of service I’ve experienced today.

First time coming here after I had them a couple years ago for a company lunch. I came here the other day in the evening with my baby and the employee who took my order was very nice. The place was clean and the food was really good. I came today again to try something different for my husband and son and again the customer service is great. The employees are very nice compared to other places that hire unhappy order takers. I will be a returning customer. Food is hot and meets expectations!

Has and I think will always be my favorite food place to get some spicy chicken, I gotten their bbq chicken and their ribs but the island fire chicken has always been my go to. Comes with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop macaroni. Their macaroni is always a hit or miss. But it’s a hit it’s so delicious!!! At the Bottom of the chicken you get veggies( cabbage/broccoli and some other)
The many times I been here, I have always gotten great customer service and the place is clean. Sometimes you have to wait 15 min for the chicken to be done but if you’re in no rush then it’s no biggie. Sometimes they can get super packed just depends on the day
Oh I recommend their salad, the flavor comes mainly from their dressing so good!

The staff were friendly and the food was pretty quick. The place was clean and the atmosphere upbeat.
The food was hot and tasty, though the teriyaki chicken did have some cartilage in it. Portions were decent, but not great. The fire chicken did take a little longer, but they warned us that would be the case. My friend said it was good.
