I’m giving Ono Hawaiian five stars all the way! This location is really clean, and the staff here are super friendly and provide great customer service.
The food was cooked perfectly and packed with so much flavor—it seriously hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re craving some good Hawaiian food!

Heavyset lady at the front needs an attitude adjustment. Or basic lessons and customer service skills. She was rude abrupt and tried to hurry up and get me out of there. Secondly my food was mediocre warm. Thirdly my portion size is horrible they gave me a ton of rice a ton of cabbage a tiny little scoop of the macaroni salad and four pieces of shrimp and a little tiny piece of chicken that they cut up to make it look bigger and I paid almost $16 I’m really pissed off right now. Dissatisfied disappointed will not be going back to this location I don’t know what it is with all the panorama City but you guys need a serious attitude adjustment when it comes to your customer service as well as charging high prices and giving very little food.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ came through big time! Ordered the meat combo for takeout, and wow. Those short ribs? Perfectly tender, packed with flavor, and so easy to chew…just how they should be. The rest of the meats were solid too, all cooked just right. Honestly, it brought me back to the flavors I had in Hawaii. Simple, delicious, and totally worth it!

I went there for a late lunch today, I ordered my usual BBQ Mix plate, the food was the same yummy food as always. Their soda machine was broken today, food was ready fast, service was professional.
2025/06/10 Update:
I ordered my usual favorite BBQ Mix (rice only), everything was delicious as usual except for the chicken, it was somewhat overcooked, it tasted different.
The dining area was kept clean, service was friendly and professional.

The Hawaiian barbeque is amazing!! If you are looking for protons and protein you’ve come to the right place. If you get a plate you can order a combo with crab ragoons & a 16 oz. Drink. Usually quick and polite service. Recommended
Update: still pretty decent. But they stopped serving side’s of chicken breast. And last time I went a few months ago the staff was pretty rude and short with everyone. That’s why it’s bow 3 Stars instead of 4

Great place, yummy Hawaiian food! The staff here are awesome especially Juan Martinez who attended to me, great customer service. Very friendly demeanor, very proactive. Not sure if he’s the manager, but truly a great role model to the team. The rest of the staff were also nice and customer centric.
Highly recommend this place.

Clean, on the pricier side but worth it, very large portions, good location, lots of parking. The girl at the front counter had a very thick accent and honestly I could not understand stand her.

Chicken katshu and BBQ chicken plate with rice and Mac salad on top of cooked cabage. The chicken taste good, Mac salad is average. You don’t get too much meat with the bed of cabbage on the bottom but it’s a nice addition to the meal.

Great food, reasonably priced. Current favorite on the menu is Island Fire Chicken, sort of a Korean/Hawaiian fusion dish with just enough spice to warm the heart without being overpowering. Japanese influenced dishes include Katsu and Teriyaki.
You can get carb overloaded with the standard plate lunch, considering you get two scoops of white rice and a scoop of a nondescript macaroni salad.
Better option is the Aloha Plate. This gives you a tasty green salad with extra good stuff like onion and carrot shreds and cooked hulled edamame tossed into it. Your entree is served on a bed of white rice instead of served in scoops next to it.
Mahalo for a taste of paradise in my Panorama City home neighborhood.
