We tried Ono for the first time and were very impressed by its portion size! We ordered two combos (one with short rib and bbq chicken, second witth the same meats plus katsu chicken). We ordered to go, so not sure if that impacts the portion size. But I swear the meats weigh at least 1 pound lol! We went light on rice (1 portion) and went heavy on steamed veggies (2 portions) and are very happy with our choices.
Our favorite meat is katsu as it has a nice crispy texture, followed by bbq chicken as it’s pretty juicy and flavorful.

I had made a mistake with my order online and Carlos corrected it. He offered great customer service! He was quick and efficient and made sure I received great food and in a speedy fashion. Although this is in the mall, it is a great location and was easy to get to. If you are looking for good Hawaiian bbq in Culver City this is a great option. It was extremely busy on Sunday.

I typically never order from this location. However I decided to order on DoorDash. Again I ordered from Ono all the time and even on DoorDash they secure your food. Not this location. I not only paid for delivery but had to return my food due to package not only dirty from sticky fingers but it was also open so tampering. Never again, I’ll stick to the Downtown location. They actually care about the food going out.

I’ve eaten here before and used to come quite often, but today was especially disappointing! I ordered the BBQ and KATSU MIX — the meat was undercooked, the cabbage was served raw, and the meat had a very strong animal-like odor. Personally, I really dislike that smell, so if you don’t like it either, keep this in mind. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back to this location again.
