If you are the type of person that is looking to get a bunch of food cheap or 2 meals for the price of 1 then this isn’t your place. BUT if you are looking for some of the best tasting food and drinks you will ever have and appreciate good quality proper portioned meals, then this is your place. I went here with a couple friends for the 1st time. I had linguine with clam sauce and jalapeño poppers. Both dishes were excellent. I was so impressed that I took my fiance there again 3 days later. This time I had shrimp scampi, wings, scallops wrapped in bacon, corned beef and cabbage soup and a margarita. Nothing to complain about as the food was great.

Underwhelming as I thought this Inn and restaurant would have more old English style, but decor was blah. Food was good, the seared tuna appetizer was perfectly cooked and great flavor. The steamed clams were plentiful and good clear white wine broth.

We started going here for our anniversary dinner last year after moving to the area. We had such a delightfully delicious meal here last year that we decided to go again. We were not disappointed. My husband and I both love scallops and often only order them from places we know do them justice. We both decided to order them this night–Onions did not disappoint! They were delectable –the entire meal was. And the staff was top notch, the restaurant atmosphere was as warm and inviting as last year, and I personally love their holiday decorations. We have decided to make this our go to restaurant for our anniversary, but we will be sure to visit again prior to then!

Stumbled upon this place while working out here from out of town. I went in shortly before close with not super high expectations. It was fantastic. The ahi app was incredible and better than other ahi I’ve paid 4x the price for. The stuffed haddock was great too and also fairly priced. Great experience.

Family gathering, seven of us. We had a wide variety of meal choices from a simple cheeseburger to linguine with clam sauce, beef Wellington, scallops … service was excellent. We had a few minor oopsis at the table, spilled water, spilled drink, dropped appetizer. All quickly and efficiently handled by several staff including the owner. Great hostess and server! Very nice environment, quaint New England style, very comfortable. Overall the food was good but not exceptional, and they were out of a few items. We shared an appetizer, bruschetta, which was excellent and different than most, but a surprisingly small portion (2 pcs of bread). The paella was good, but tasted kind of like the base was Campbell’s tomato soup; and the clams were tough and gritty. The fettuccine was very good, the steak tips and haddock Melissa got a great review, but the mashed potatoes were described as strange and dry.

I had the ruben sandwich and it was fabulous! Perfectly grilled as it should be, with the cheese melting into the meat on one side and the sour kraut on the other side. The server was very accommodating, letting me switch the French fries to their sautéed veggie mix! I left happy and full.

Staffed well, and very good at their jobs. The cheese steak was excellent with large potato slices as opposed to french fries….nice touch. The onion rings are also very good. We will definitely be back!

We had a great experience at Onions Pub and Restaurant. Our server Meredith was fantastic she was right on it bringing drinks apps and dinner. The Bruschetta moly had 2 pieces but was very good. The side salad was not small but could use some onions. Our drinks margarita and dark and stormy were very good. Our dinners baked scallops, chicken tenders and bangers and mashed were all very good overall we had a great experience, great food and exceptional service thanks Meredith.
