My family loves Onigiri, especially my kids. I ordered the Green Vegi and the Takana. Not sure if I’m allowed to but I mixed them as the 2 pieces. Freshly made. Quick service and quick preparation to go. So quick decided to try the bagel place and got a half dozen while I waited and it was ready when I returned. Rockville has such cool niche places like this. Wish my home state of VA or where I lived had more.
I will say I struggle with the opening of them specifically step 3 but that’s my issue.

Onigiri Kingdom is hands down the best place for authentic, delicious onigiri! The rice is perfectly seasoned, the fillings are fresh and flavorful, and the variety keeps me coming back for more. Every bite is a perfect balance of texture and taste.
What truly sets this place apart is the incredible customer service, thanks to the owner, Li Ma. She goes above and beyond to make every customer feel welcome, taking the time to recommend flavors and ensure everyone has a great experience. Her passion and dedication shine through in both the food and the atmosphere.
If you’re looking for amazing onigiri and top-notch hospitality, Onigiri Kingdom is the place to go! Highly recommend!

I was excited seeing the Oden on their post but, damn. $6 for one tiny piece of bare minimum sake( salmon) filled, half-ass wrapped onigiri? Come on man. I’m from Japan and sure haven’t been back since 2022 but even I know that’s a rip off. I’d be more satisfied paying 4 grand to fly back to Japan, get all the other Japanese experiences and if you know you know, grab a basket full of Family mart onigiri and Fami-chiki and come back to the States. This is embarrassing for a Japanese person to see.

I order the miso soup which was a great portion and left me filled! The broth and the protein were the best part of the soup

I decided to come here on a random Sunday afternoon. When I arrived there were 2 tables of people (one with 2 people and one with 3) they already had food in front of them and no staff was visible out front. I saw they had a kiosk to order from so I decided to do that. As I’m ordering a man comes up and asks if I want to order through him instead. I said no as I had already begun adding things to my cart and I was taking it to go anyway. I finished my order and paid at 1:47pm. I decided to sit outside and because I thought they couldn’t see me, a little after 2pm i went up to the counter to check on my order. He said it wasn’t ready yet which was no big deal. I went back outside to sit on a bench. At 2:15 I went back inside to check on my order again he said it still wasn’t ready and when I asked him about how long would be he said he didn’t know but he could ask. Mind you, only one other person has entered this restaurant the entire time I’ve been waiting. He finally comes back to say that my food should be ready in 5 to 10 minutes and that they are really “swamped with multitasking”….what the hell does that mean? You can’t handle 4 orders on a Sunday afternoon?? I finally received my food at 2:30 p.m. I will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant based purely on my experience… I haven’t even tried the food yet.

Let me tell you that these Onigiri’s are the best in the area by far. Perfect rice! Larger portions than Hmart. We travel a nice distance to pick up our large orders.

I was really excited for this place. Very underwhelming experience. The onigiri is taped because whoever is wrapping them is too lazy to do it correctly. It’s basically a mound of rice, meat & you have to rip apart the plastic TO ACTUALLY wrap it. Why am I doing this when it’s the restaurants job? It was not busy for it to take as long as it did & why am I drinking warm bubble tea?
Please hire people who know what they’re doing. Will travel to TBaar in Rockville for onigiri still.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. Ordered takeout multiple times and have sat in multiple times. Food is great and authentic to my knowledge, service is also good the staff has offered me free items just to try.

I love this place. The lady who is the owner I believe, greets you with a smile when you come in. She gave great recommendations. Found my new place for onigiris.
