1st Review! I finally made it mom, I’m a trend setter, a trail Blazer!

I love culture authentic food. So anytime I find a place like this, I get super excited.

The decor is typical Asian, nothing fancy. I talked to the owner, and he is super friendly.
The service was fast and the food was fresh, and tasty. I had the Bun Bo Hue, the meat was tender, the shrimp perfectly cooked, the slaw sweet which was a perfect offset to the salty dipping sauce. Overall it was a great meal.

Pros: Large portions, Fast service, Fresh food,Friendly service.

Cons: Price is a little higher than the normal lunch fare, the area behind the bar is a little messy looking. They need a better storage area. Outside of that I don’t have much to say.

The service (for takeout) was good. The food was good. The quantity of food for the price was good. I have no complaints. I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli and the flavor was on point. The fish sauce had the right amount of spice to it. The egg rolls were crisp and flavorful. My wife had the shrimp pho and she enjoyed the flavors. When all said and done, it was an overall happy experience.

I went on a Sunday morning when it was take-out only. Employee (he may have been the owner) was really friendly and chatty. Our food was ready in under 30 minutes even though we ordered quite a bit. I had never had pho as carry-out before but the broth was delicious and still hot, even after the 15 min drive home. The meat and extras (sprouts/lime/basil/jalapeños) were fresh. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious and my husband loved his banh mi. I hope to try this place for dine-in soon.

Have moved to the Memphis area from Southern California, my wife and I miss tasty Vietnamese food. We came to the restaurant on a slow Tuesday night and were very pleased. We began our meal with delicious egg rolls that were so good you could make a meal of them alone. We both ordered bowls of Pho. My wife enjoyed the thin sliced steak and I had the special combination. The broth was very flavorful and the meat, noodles and veggies were perfect. Both the Thai Tea and Iced Coffee were prefect complements to the meal. The service outstanding; we look forward to coming back soon.

Their food is really good actually but it would be nice if at least added more of the meat or seafood in the noodles soup to be fair with the customers at least. My husband and I ordered the same, the seafood noodles soup. For each order, we enjoyed the egg noodles, 2 shrimp, 4 thin slices of fish cake, and 3 slices of squid in halves for $10 each that’s why just 4 stars

The place is very friendly and welcoming but if your hungry and looking for a good size porkchop that’s in the menu. You will be disappointed like me. They gave me a toddlers size pork chop and todays rice was spoiled when I got it to go order. So it was horrible but on the other side of this negativity. Their soup is the F*kin bomb! It’s called Bun Bo Hue! Top Notch soup dish that I’ll recommend. So it could have been 1 star but the service and the soup makes up for it!

We were looking for a good pho spot as we drove through Memphis and found this place. The combination Pho was delicious and everything we hoped for. The workers were friendly and service was quick. Establishment was clean and sanitary. Easily accessible off I-40. Definitely worth a stop for a quality bowl of pho.

Ông Câu is not your regular Asian takeout spot.

When we walked in, the place was nicely decorated and clean. We sat ourselves and were brought water menus by the owner, which were in Vietnamese and English. There were a lot of options to choose from, but we had never tried Vietnamese food before so we had a lot of questions. Uncle was really helpful and answered everything we asked in detail, and offered his own suggestions for newbies. He also didn’t mind at all when we asked for changes to fit dietary restrictions—everything was pretty customizable.

The food was out quickly, and there were lots of extras to put in it (sauces, peppers, lime, bean shoots, etc.). I’m honestly a really picky eater but everything I tried blew me away. I ordered the chicken noodle soup, which came with green onions in it. I tried it the way it came first—the broth was really flavorful and the noodles had a really nice texture (he said they’re made with tapioca). My partner had a beef combination noodle soup, which had tons of different cuts of meat in it (meatballs, brisket, etc.). He really enjoyed his too, especially with the sweet and sour sauce. Also, the portions were really nice and we had enough to take home for later.

Overall this place really charmed us. We hadn’t even heard of it or read any reviews before, but I’m glad we stopped by. The owner was really personable and made the whole experience even better. It was also nice to get a little taste of another culture in the middle of Cordova! Uncle said they’ve only been open 6 months, so if you want to support a local small business and try some delicious food, you should definitely come by.
