The soup and salad was perfect on a cold afternoon. The taco soup was light and perfect for lunch. Amazing dessert menu. Friendly staff!

Being in Moorefield on business the weekend of Oct 24-27, I asked several locals for a good location for dinner and independently each said, “go to O’Neill’s!” On Saturday night, I went. They were SO RIGHT. The place was packed (as I learned it always is). There was a wait, but as I was alone, there was a seat at the bar right away. I was served by the owner, Mike O’Neill himself. He was a delight and the food and drink was equally wonderful. They had an unusual side dish in a half an acorn squash with a brown sugar glaze. AMAZING. As was the salmon and baked potato. But Mike – a delightful man, engaged me in conversation and introduced me to the gent at the barstool near me. What a friendly place! Prices were insanely reasonable, too. I will ensure I get back to Moorfield soon – just to eat at O’Neill’s.

This is a really cozy place. Overall small but has a great atmosphere. Had the cheeseburger with fries. Cheeseburger tasted good and the fries just right. Service was outstanding. When in Moorefield WV again I definitely would eat here again. Overall it was a very enjoyable and satisfying experience.

O’Neills has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with very friendly service. The food we had was good but in terms of both quality and quantity we felt it missed the mark. I ordered the fish and chips which tasted good but for $15 you only get two smallish fish filets and a handful of fries (see photo). Their homemade pies are excellent.

Tired, hungry, and 250 miles from home, we picked a place to eat at random. They were busy on a Wednesday evening so we thought that was a good sign. I ordered the chicken Santa Fe and my wife got fish. The chicken is a pasta dish in a mild jalapeno sauce. It was good but the sauce just tastes of cheese. I couldn’t discern any jalapeno flavor at all. There’s not much chicken in the Chicken Santa Fe and it needed a little salt but it was a large portion and the sun dried tomatoes were very flavoring
The fish dish was a special. It was seasoned well but a little over cooked. She asked for couscous and beets on the side. Both sides were delicious.
The service was fast and friendly. Pop-country music playing in the dining area was too loud to comfortably converse, though.

Stopped here traveling to Seneca Rocks. It was a great experience overall – I wish all restaurant experiences were like this. The waitress was quick, the food came out fast, it tasted excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We were in and out in 40 mins. Would definitely go back!

Cozy place w/ friendly staff and good food. Great service staff as well. Ohhh and get unsweetened iced tea just so you can try their homemade sweetner (sugar water) It’s amazing. No seriously. It’s a thing. You’re welcome

We just stopped in for lunch when passing through the area. Their fried calamari was pretty good, better than you’d expect for the area. My wife said her fish and chips were decent. I can’t go above 2 stars though because of the ribeye steak sandwich I ordered. It was very dry and chewy. The steak itself is paper thin which is why it came out that way. Once you get to the middle of the sandwich, all you taste is the tomato because the tomato slice is a good 5x thicker than the meat. This is the only entree I’ve tried from this place though so take the review with a grain of salt as their other entrees may be better and this one the exception.

A nice little restaurant that is family friendly or a nice evening out with your special someone. I started my dinner off with the Artichoke dip. It was delicious. Then I had the Sriracha BBQ half rack ribs with a baked potato and spinach. There Tea is delicious, you get a container with sugar water to sweeten your tea as you wish. Pretty neat. The other meals ordered in my group was the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and fried Apples and a Turkey Ruben sandwich with homecut fries. All was delicious.
