I’ve been craving crispy beef for a while since moving to North Carolina, so I drove to this restaurant just for their sesame beef. This is probably the third restaurant I’ve tried since moving down here on my quest for crispy beef without much success- until this one!

I don’t really know how to describe crispy beef, so I showed her a photo, and asked if sesame beef was similar. She said yes, and it would take around 15 minutes to make. I asked her if it would be crispy. She said of course. I asked her to not make it spicy just in case- she told me it wasn’t spicy, so I was all good. Bless.

I actually find the atmosphere of the restaurant really charming, and enjoyed waiting with the other DoorDashers. (I do want to say that I may be a little weird for this, but I think it’s a cute spot. I like the pink booths- it’s very 90s Hong Kong / Wong Kar-wai esque. I think this is has underrated potential to be an “I know a spot” place. I can see it being a niche offbeat date spot.) The restaurant was extremely busy on the phone, and it was impressive to watch- they both were extremely prompt with handling orders, especially for a team of just two people.

I know I’m in the minority of people who drive to a Chinese restaurant, order in person, and then dine in, but if anyone was considering- I don’t think they run the heat during winter, so I got really cold. It was a 30 degree day, so I continued eating my sesame beef until I got too cold to keep eating.

It was so good, though. It was worth every bite. It’s legitimately been three years since I’ve had my college town’s crispy beef, and this is near perfect- The only criticism I have is that it could be crispier. (The crisp was great, I just love insanely crunchy beef. It’s a really good combination with the sauce that provides interesting texture when paired with the rice. I think ordinary people would probably really enjoy this as it is- I highly recommend it.) I’ll probably ask for that next time.

Overall, extremely prompt, amazing food, – if you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food, this is the best I’ve had in the city so far.

I had never ordered from One Wok before, but I needed to DoorDash Chinese and my usual takeout place wasn’t on DD. Had I read other reviews before ordering, I might have kept looking. As it was, I decided to order a shrimp egg roll and Hunan Shrimp.

It was easily the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in my 12+ years in this area. A few reasons why: the food was flavorful and not greasy at all, unlike many other places I’ve tried. There was definitely real Szechuan peppercorn in the sauce; I could tell from the persistent tingle in my lips minutes after I ate.

The shrimp was generously-sized and generously-portioned, flavorful with that perfect “bouncy” texture. There was also a variety of vegetables in the dish: broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, bamboo shoots, baby carrots, snow peas, green pepper. So many places don’t offer that nice variety, instead going heavy on the green peppers (which I dislike).

My few quibbles were that there was only one egg roll, when the menu said an order was two. Not a huge deal, as I only needed one and the price was fair for one. The other was that I saw no opportunity for special instructions on the order (like “No green peppers, please”). But since the dish had a good balance of vegetables, it also wasn’t a big deal.

Maybe I caught them on an uncharacteristically good day? Don’t know, but I’m going to keep going back until they give me a reason not to.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Greensboro. I picked up, ordered delivery and ordered through DoorDash. Each time the food is hot and delicious. This time I ordered through DoorDash because they had a small discount. My friend got the Sesame chicken that came with an egg roll. I got a small chicken and broccoli with wings. They never disappoint!

Don’t let the look fool you. I’ve eaten here a few times now and haven’t gotten sick or anything. Prices are reasonable. Food portions are generous. We usually get 2-3 meals out of our orders. We love to get the general tsos tofu and the orange chicken. Food is a definite solid 8.5/10.

I called to let them know I had to cancel my order because of a family emergency. I understand that the food is ready and as a business, I do understand cost of supply ,and frustration. But to not have sympathy and blacklist me because of something beyond my control is wild, horrible customer service, and Horrible, rude people. I was willing to even pay for the food over the phone for the inconvenience, but I’m glad that he was too disrespectful and too quick to hang up in my face before I can offer. Maybe next time you won’t treat people like we are just ticket numbers for food and actual people who want to support your business.

I ordered from here twice this week and I can say the quality and great customer service is consistent! They answer the phone with pleasant customer service and unrushed. The price and food portions are unbeatable. Fast delivery and I wasn’t able to get to the door quickly Working from home; however, I found the delivery driver waited a little on the stairs to make sure I got my food. I ordered boneless spare ribs, and a few egg rolls the first time, and this time I decided to add the Buffalo wings which were a great size. All my sauces as requested were in the bag and the food was great. Will definitely be my go to! Thank you for great service all around which is very rare these days!

This Chinese restaurant is one of the best in Greensboro. They used to offer buffet years ago. The staff are real nice and polite. They do offer different types of menu-from vegetarian to meat lovers. Parking is somewhat limited. They do both delivery and carryout. I’m not sure if they still offer dine-in option. The food is tasty, savory, and the price is affordable. The surroundings are cleaned and of course the restaurant itself is. Overall, excellent service and very delicious food.
