Curried chicken has chicken breast and is halal and curried goat is halal too! We had fish, curried goat, and curried chicken and everything was pretty good. A little bit on the saltier side for me but I love the plantain and how balanced it was!

This place used to serve really good food. But the last time I had the oxtail and curry chicken, it tasted like a non-jamaican cooked it because the food was bland and not succulent. 6 years ago the food was amazing. Whomever was the chef then needs to come back because the current cook is not doing this once great place justice.

Amazingly delicious food & excellent service! I got the curried tofu which was vegan. SO flavorful, healthy, and filling. The owner was kind enough to pour me some watermelon water too when she realized I didn’t have a drink.

Vegan option, jerk tofu, had absolutely no flavor, not marinated or seasoned that I could taste AT ALL, also was not cooked enough just soft, moist, flavorless black chunks.. The rice was mediocre & mostly flavorless with a bit of spiciness to it, didnt work without a properly seasoned main. Plantains were good but cold and only 3 small slices. Small salad with a sweet salsa was okay, good but light flavor. Considering it was the only other part that I was able to really put down. My friend got the jerk chicken he said was very good and worked with the flavorless spicy rice. Definitely HUGE waste of money. $48 for 2 average size meals with cheaper ingredients, one of the meals being flavorless and inedible. Oh and a Calypso we split. Rip off. I so wish I didnt come here. Struggle of finding good vegan food that is actually tasty and not the same boring things people assume vegans eat. Sad excuse for a vegan option. If I could return this I would in a heartbeat. Can’t spring for much extra, thought itd be nice to get a meal, also had no idea it was going to be so expensive. Also the veggie patty no good, nothing like a Jamaican meat patty. No flavor or seasoning, just a thin spreading of what looked like canned or steamed spinach, plain. Horrible. We’re struggling too, like everyone else, huge regret wasting that money.

This is the WORST Jamaican food I have ever had. If you’re craving Jamaican food and this is your only option do without! The food first of all is so expensive and it comes in a miniature bowl. We ordered rice and peas and I’m not exaggerating when I say there were only two peas in the whole thing. The rice was soggy and as far as the meat goes, they got the color right but I’m not sure what happened when it came to flavoring. I wish I could give this a negative star because of how horrible my experience was. Don’t recommend

I was craving Jamaican food and decided to try this place. The food was awful!!! Soggy rice. The jerk chicken was flavorless. They also put a soggy salad in the same bowl as the rice and chicken further making everything one soggy flavorless mushy mess. The sorrel drink was good I’ll give them that. I won’t be going back I wasted money and ended up throwing away the food. This isn’t Jamaican food I don’t know what it is.. but Jamaican it’s not.

First time trying out One Love Cafe and I’m so happy that I did. The jerk chicken was so delicious and the desserts hit the spot for a sweets craving. The watermelon water was refreshing. Great service. I will definitely be back to try out their other dishes.

My wife Michelle fell in love with this place on day one and we have gone back dozens of times and it is always spot on!
Venice the owner is like her long lost friend. She is the kindest, most hard working person whose love shines through with every dish. Start with the Jamaican jerk chicken, patties and leave room for the cakes she makes because mmmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmm they are good!!!
