Our options were limited to a 3 item combo plate off a buffet style grill, rather than what was advertised, which is a sit down restaurant with a menu. We adapted and enjoyed the meal, but it cost way too much for what it was, $16. I think Iowa just has expensive Chinese food. As a Californian, I am not used to that lol.

My husband and I LOVE this place so much. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting. But by far the BEST thing about this place are the people. The owner and their family are wonderful. They remember that my husband is allergic to onions and if he forgets to say no onion or no vegetables the owner ALWAYS makes sure to ask just in case.

People are friendly and the service is nice but I can eat service. I ordered the triple sweet and sour dish and the appetizer combo.
Everything tastes the same. Like it’s all been fried in the same oil for a while. The crab puffs are hard and I can’t taste the filling. The shrimp was fine but I couldn’t tell you much other than it was crunchy.
The egg rolls tasted like the chicken on a stick and the 2 chicken wings tasted like the stick the chicken on a stick came on.
I asked for hot mustard. I got packets of the gross stuff. No heat. The table’s sweet and sour sauce bottle was a different more pale color then the sauce that came on my main dish…
The fried rice tasted burnt. Thank God for the extra thick sauce on the main dish.
Portions are too small for the price.

We are regulars at the One and One location in Arnold’s Park and decided to give this branch a try since we were visiting the state park outside of town. We were the only two people in the restaurant over the noon hour on a Saturday which I found to be rather surprising, considering they have a great value for money lunch special. The food was essentially identical to the Arnold’s Park location in terms of quality, taste, and portion size. Service here was little less inviting, however. Overall the meal was good and I hope business here picks up!

I love this place! This is our favorite Chinese restaurant here in Estherville, Iowa. People and staff are so friendly and hands-on. We always go here whenever we have cravings for Chinese or Asian food.
