We enjoyed cooking our steaks & scallops on the hot rocks, it was something unique. The food was delicious. It came with bottomless fries & a dressed salad.
The staff we’re polite & welcoming. It was great for us that dogs were welcome too.
Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the experience of cooking on the hot plates – both the steaks and scallops were excellent. It was also a big plus that dogs were allowed in the restaurant. Be good to have maybe water for dogs.

A couple of things could have been better: our server didn’t check in to see how the food was, or if we wanted any extra fries we had to ask for them.

The toilets could use a little TLC, luckily I’d eaten before I noticed as would have put me off and the Pinot Noir was served quite warm.

Overall, though, it was an enjoyable visit with a fun dining experience.

This restaurant is my favourite place to dine, eating here is a real treat! The food is incredible, the staff were friendly, the prices were fair, and I left with a full belly and a smile. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to have a nice meal!

Such a great concept and I love the hot stone novelty – expensive but excellent quality tuna steak. Very yummy dinner out. Just be warned anything you wear will stink of beef fat until thoroughly washed !

Food was excellent. What a nice way to spend our evening! The staff were friendly and helpful and such a lovely vibe within the restaurant. Cooking our own steaks was such a fun experience, really good quality meat too which makes such a difference! Never had an experience quite like it on the island. Would highly recommend.

A favourite treat night for us , that’s not silly expensive ,tho the drinks can catch you out and would benefit by having some drinks offers . But it’s all about the excellent steak cuts sourced locally that in our four visits, I’ve never had to remove any gristle or veins , you can eat the lot ,with unlimited fries & salad that are also excellent & fresh . The manager Rob ,efficient and a joy ,ask him for a song . Dog friendly & booking advised at peak times . Tip ,sit near the doors ,20
tables cooking multiple steaks gets heady , and leave room for me .

When you’re coming to On The Rocks, you’re coming for the experience.

If you’ve never cooked your food on the rocks, then you’ll certainly enjoy doing it.
The food was pretty good, and the chips are extremely tasty. All the food comes with bottomless chips and salad, which is nice. The meat wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good.

It’s kind of on the pricey side though – but that’s to be expected as it’s a restaurant in Yarmouth.
Overall, I would recommend.

This was my first time ever cooking my own food in a restaurant in this manner and it was an amazing (tasty) experience and with the option of bottomless fries and salads that you can fry off on your slate in garlic butter. Also a great way to never have to send your steak back to the kitchen because it is to rare because you can cook it to YOUR standards. The servers are so lovely and care about your needs and the atmosphere even in the autumn when not very busy is great.

This was our first but definitely not the last time we’ve visited On the rocks . My daughter chose to eat here as a reward for doing really well in school .

Staff there are all very try friendly and helpful. The food was amazing . We were so stuffed from the steak that we shared dessert . Sirloin steak was huge and too much for me and only managed to eat half. Thankfully my partner could help me eat the rest. Next time I’ll share one steak with my daughter as she too couldn’t finish her child sized sirloin too.

The tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding was lovely

If you are planning to dine there I highly advise you to book a table as people got turned away when the place was fully booked.

Wi will be back again

The staff were friendly and helpful, atmosphere was good, if a little smokey cos of self cooking process on every table. No doubt we will return – thanks guys ‍
