This was our first time visiting On the Border and it was a positive experience. We were greeted by the host but it was a rather strange experience. The host and hostesses were talking to each other after asking us how many was in our party and then he started walking away and we were unsure if we were to follow him or not. We were seated and our waitress was very sweet and kind. She didn’t really check on us while we were here but she was very sweet. Food was great. We love the food and their queso is bomb dot com! I would come here again for sure! They also give you free chips and salsa! ᵕ̈

Amanda is by far the most attentive and totally awesome and professional server ever. But the food was soooooo sooooo good today. My vegetarian daughter even wanted fajitas after smelling them go to another table. We will definitely come here again. Seriously there are three OTB in Colorado Springs and this one is THE BEST!!!! again way to go Amanda.

Have the time to write a review now. The family and I had thought this would be a great place to eat back in November 2019 but all of us threw up our food a couple hours later and I am not making that up. The steak I order was rare (bloody) and was never asked how I would like my steak which I thought it would at least be cook medium rare/well to well done which has always been the case at any other Mexican restaurants. The chicken enchiladas my wife and son ordered probably was not cooked thoroughly either but we were all hungry. The waitress was not even attentive and seem she was there for just a check. I had to take my plate to the manager because the waitress was nowhere to be seen. There was no..’we are sorry for your rare steak’, just a… ‘let me take that back and cook it more’ (microwave). Never returning here and eat at your own risk.

Great atmosphere and wonderful service. This place offers good prices and good food and their happy hour is one of the best. Had a couple minor errors with the food, but they had a new person cooking and everything was handled without a problem. I felt a little restricted on the menu options as a vegetarian, but other than that the menu looked like it has all the Tex-Mex you might want. The salsa was so phenomenal that I just wanted to sit there with that and a pitcher of margaritas.

Will not be returning to this location. Our service absolutely sucked, the waiter had a terrible additude. Every question we had he huffed and puffed, my grandma asked for the vegetarian menu he said we don’t have one, she argued there was, he left then returned with it (a printer paper with options and no prices) so we were extremely disappointed to find the quesadillas we ordered from that menu were a whopping $10! They were alright but not at all worth the price. The chips and salsa were great, and everyone enjoyed their meals it just was not a place we will be spending our money at again. The wall aside the table was absolutely disgusting and the booth seats cloth was busting open, extremely uncomfortable and also disgusting.

I am very glad they post the calories for these dishes! Food tastes great and the low calorie meals were around 600. They had a nacho plate that is 2400… More than one day’s calories in a meal?! Better be sharing that plate. Chips before hand were yummy but… easy to make the 600 calorie meal bump to 1000 with an appetizer so be careful.
Service was pleasant. Wasn’t too crowded when we were there. Parking was not too crowed either. Atmosphere wad pleasant. Medium pricing level… we got one appetizer and 2 entrees. No drinks. Dinner plus tip was $50ish.

The food was very mediocre, and mine was even burnt. The atmosphere could be cleaner with at least salt, pepper, and hot sauce at the tables (and napkin holders).
The service, though, was amazing! Unfortunately, my meal was burnt and did not taste good, and they asked no questions when I returned it. I did have some of my husband’s burrito, which was good.

Had On The Border in Texas, but we never ate there because, well, it’s Texas. This kinda satisfies the Tex Mex craving, since COS has no Tex Mex. I removed one star because Chili Con Carne isn’t supposed to be sweet. Taco meat is also a bit sweet. The Chili Relleno was delicious though! This is the ONLY place you can find sour cream chicken enchiladas.

Nice location near Chapel Hills Mall. It’s hard to go wrong with On The Border. They have a nice lunch menu and well as catering options. Everything is always fresh which is very nice. The service is always friendly, as well. Recommended.
