The meal was fantastic from start to finish. The crisp chips with salsa were fresh and full of flavor, and the chicken enchiladas were rich and satisfying. The fried Oreo cookie dessert was a delightful surprise, a sweet and fun way to close the meal. I left completely pleased and look forward to returning soon.

Had the tacos and they were delicious, we also ordered queso primo. The menu has been reduced, that’s great as long as the food quality and taste is great too.

Numerous things were changed in terms of food due to a business merge of some sort our server told us numerous times. The menu was not updated however. The queso was different, the salsa is a different recipe and served warm which was strange for salsa. My nephew could not get the dessert he wanted because it was discontinued. I order chicken fajita tacos el carbon. This was not fajitas, it tasted and looked like a bland, skin on roasted chicken breast that had been sliced. There was a fat layer under the chicken skin that was gross. Not a fan of this change. The meal was also supposed to come with a red salsa which was not provided. We ordered the guacamole live , however were told to add the spices ourselves after the avacados were smashed. Maybe a training refresher is needed. Refried beans were luke warm. Please do better.

We had two catering delivery orders from this OTB location in one day. One order was for our 1st shift employees and the other was later in the afternoon for our 2nd shift. Both orders were delivered exactly on time and contained everything they were supposed to. Our employees LOVED the food and were very happy! I really appreciate the ease of ordering and the quality of the food received. Thank you very much!

Wow! Since changing ownership, this place is fantastic! The food is exceptional. Margaritas are very good. Staff and service is over the top. Happy Hour prices are great – and they don’t shorten the meals or drinks during Happy Hour; just cheaper! This is our new favorite place to go.

I’ve been going to On The Border for years. On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina was acquired by Pappas Restaurants in May 2025 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025. Everything I ordered or wanted has changed. No more Guac Live! The salsa and chips changed, and were bad. The menu was changed and didn’t look good. It had fewer items. There weren’t many people eating during prime time. I’ll not be back.
PS- The positive reviews in the last few months here are probably paid shills. For example, the poster right before mine had pictures of the items I received at my table during this visit. The problem? They are pictures from before the acquisition. The burrito looked nothing like this, and had changed badly. The chips and salsa? Nothing like what I received at my table. Those are the old chips and salsa. The new chips are more pale and less tasty. The old salsa pictured was amazing. The new salsa is brownish and served warm. Yuck! I’m certain Nancy didn’t receive these items at a table two weeks ago as the items changed months ago. Is Nancy just getting around to posting from months ago when she visited, or is she a paid shill?

This was our first time there with the new menu and we loved it. Would’ve taken pics of the food, but it was eaten before I remembered to. Our table ordered The Honey-Chipotle Shrimp Tacos and they were fantastic (spicy, of course) and the Bolder Boarder Bowl wirth fajita steak was delicious and very filling. And my favorite part, the margaritas and chips, were the best I’ve had so far in Fort Worth. They were extra thin, which is really hard to find at any restaraunt lately. Everything was great, but the service was the best part. Carter is a ninja…his timing is perfect. He makes sure he’s available if we need something without hovering or being too chatty or trying to hard. He really is just a great server and they are lucky to have him there. Definitely check out the new menu if you haven’t yet. I’m certain you’ll like it, too.

Had the fajitas Everything was very good from the fajitas, to the rice and beans. Service was poor. A waiter by the name of Dan was inattentive, not friendly, and sloppy. Dan told the table beside us he was in a shift meeting and that was why his service was off..He tossed the plates at us and it took forever to get our drinks refilled. Dan did not put his best foot forward and deliver the kind of experience I had hoped. The food is much improved, however.
