The Tortilla soup is very bland now. Ive been coming to OTB for over 10yrs just for the Tortilla soup and now its more of a broth, a 10th of the spice. Very disappointing. Service is great, always is, the bartender/Server is awesome, we always get the same guy. Clearly this is corporate or someone is new idk but someway somehow this needs to be fixed.
Sincerely, someone who doesn’t want to cook at home.
Our server Malachi was absolutely awesome! Made sure we were okay from start to finish, and updated us about the delay in our to-go order but he was absolutely awesome! The hostess was awesome too! The place has changed since my man and I were last here but the service and good food made up for it. We will definitely be back again! Keep up the great work!
They seated us in a booth that I didn’t feel quite comfortable sitting in. I know this is a casual dining place but really, it’s a chain – please maintain your booth seats! Many had tears and the mending looked to me as if someone had vomited on it. No thank you!
We took a smaller booth and were greeted quickly by a nice server. We hesitated and she quickly offered to bring us waters while we perused the menu – thank you!
We both ordered the lunch specials and I loved the chicken enchilada and cheese enchilada. I haven’t had Tex-Mex lately, and this did not disappoint. My buddy was in the mood for margaritas so I tried the watermelon – yum, then we had the skinny margaritas.
A nice time and our server was very good. Please remember to inspect your seating so that no one feels uncomfortable sitting on them. It’s more important than you think!
I ordered the appetizer plate that comes with four beef empanadas. I was told it would include lettuce, guacamole, and queso. When I quickly checked the bag at the restaurant, it looked like everything was there. However, after just getting off work and being ready to go home, shower, and relax, I didn’t take everything out to double-check the order.
When I got home and started serving my family, I noticed there was no lettuce or guacamole. There was also a very small container of queso—when I say small, I mean the same size container you’d normally get to-go butter in. I also ordered a side of rice, and the portion I received was about a kid-sized scoop.
I called and spoke with the manager, Maria, who said they would mail me some comp bucks. From how she explained it, it sounded like they would help cover my next order, although it wasn’t clear if that meant the whole meal or just part of it.
Overall, I’m disappointed with the order. If I didn’t live so far away now, I probably would have gone back to have it corrected. Lesson learned: no matter how tired you are, always check your food before leaving.
Thank you to Maria for trying to help resolve the situation. Hopefully the comp bucks arrive soon so we can give them another try.
Wow, way to go from being my go to tex mex spot to being my I’ll never go back to place!
We went to dinner for 2 birthdays and EVERYTHING was so disappointing!
Not only was the menu completely different but the salsa was served warm with a totally gross flavor, the chips were thin and like they were the bottom of the basket, and the queso (used to be my favorite EVER) was greasy, bland and half the size!
And then our service was awful too! We asked her about the menu changes and she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. It took us nearly an hour to get our food and there were so many entrees wrong.
I called around 5 p.m., gave a heads up that we’d be there at 6:15 with 15 people, and confirmed the tables would be available and ready for the group.
The tables were not ready at 6:15. We were seated around 7 pm, and they sat us at two separate tables. We asked to move the tables together, which they did consent to. It felt like there was no communication, accountability, or clear process for handling a large group, despite doing exactly what we were asked to do. This was disappointing and frustrating.
