JUST DO IT.
I asked “would you please teach me sushi?” and was treated to a lesson in rice stickiness and temperature, sauces, cleanliness in fish handling, and more. Such kindness from a sushi chef/hostess/proprietor might only be possible via Tuesday lunch at a visually-unassuming diner in an isolated town, but it’s more than enough to make me want to stop in Crandon again!

The Sushi and sashimi were fresh and absolutely exceptional. My son and grandson and I tried half the menu, it was quite extensive. My husband enjoyed his homemade fries and cheeseburger, he’s not a sushi fan. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Will be returning soon.

Not going to lie….I was skeptical-sushi in Crandon? We sat at the counter and the chef was AMAZING! He kept making off the menu creations. They were top notch. On par with any big city sushi. So fresh, so good. I wish I lived closer! I will be back! If you are new to sushi, the chef was very helpful with explanations and descriptions. Price can not be beat!

Great sushi in an unexpected place. Has regular grill and deep fryer food. Pizza looks delicious, but I try to stay away from wheat products. The sushi chef does a great job. I would recommend the OMG roll to try, the other rolls such as Philadelphia and spicy tuna are good as should be expected. It’s best to order sushi in advance, because there is only one sushi chef. Be sure to check days for sushi and restaurant hours that are more typical of a small town. Definitely worth it.

Great variety! You have choices like burgers, pizza, and pulled pork, along with many asian options like fried rice and sushi. I like the Godzilla roll or the Yikkuto Crunch roll (check spelling), which isn’t too fishy and is perfectly proportioned for lunch.

Typically I am very pleased and I’d rate a 5. tonight not so much ordered a rainbow roll it was given to someone else whom had a carry out waited for the return of my roll get home no chop sticks and it was not a rainbow roll.

Ordered a 16″ sausage and pepperoni pizza for pickup. It was ready in the time they said and the girl who rank it up was friendly. The pizza was just mediocre. Flavor was decent but the crust was not good. Fairly thin which is not a deal breaker but it was very soggy limp and tasteless. For me a thin crust needs some crispness. It reminded me of an undercooked Jack’s frozen pizza. Can’t speak for the other menu items, but for my personal preference I would not order pizza again.
