People waiting for dining room to open at 5pm will be sat first.

At 6:30pm on a Friday, the wait was just shy of one hour. They don’t do reservations, but it’s worth going, even for the wait. You can sit on the bar side (at the bar or at tables on that side) and have drinks while waiting. We had no problem getting seats at the bar and you can order full menu sitting at the bar (eat dinner without waiting). The tables on the bar side are like a restaurant…open seating and lots of tables and booths, but you can’t order a meal there (you can get appetizers).
The food was excellent, the chef cooked my medium rare tenderloin perfectly. Crust on stake had a nice mix of texture, crisp/tender/juicy.
The best part of my experience was the bar. The bartender was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. There were several guys behind the bar so everyone had attention. I had an Old Fashioned and it was probably the best one I ever had (asked bar tender and used a rye whiskey that he recommended).
Atmosphere was excellent, but a bit loud. Downstairs is a lot louder than upstairs… if you’re having a more romantic dinner, go upstairs. If you’re just hanging with the guys/gals, downstairs is more exciting.

If you’re in Helena on a Thursday night this is a great spot for some good food and live music! The staff are friendly, helpful and have a good sense of comradery. Their bar selection looks very impressive! I’ll have to try it next time!

Service was amazing. My entree didn’t blow my mind (linguini Broadway with salmon) but I think our party was all really happy with all their food. (Filet and the Chicken breast special dish). My Caesar salad w/ anchovies was delicious.

One of our favorite places for date night. They don’t take reservations, so if you are going on a weekend night, don’t be in a hurry if you want to enjoy the experience. Grab a drink at the bar and have a good time while you wait. Food is fantastic and atmosphere is top notch. They make great drinks and have a good wine list. The creamy Parmesan salad dressing is my favorite dressing of all time.

5 stars… would give more if I could. From the food to the service and general ambiance of the restaurant, I couldn’t speak well enough of On Broadway. It was so refreshing to expiernce great waiters and waitresses. Staff were friendly and warmn knew their stuff, and always checked in. Food, drinks and desserts were amazing! Wish I had a bigger stomach!

The dressing on the salad(blue cheese) was divine and I was told home made! I had a couple ideas on my main dish and was swayed by server to go with Tuscan Grilled Chicken. The star of this dish was the home made pasta and the flavors of the relatively light white wine and rosemary sauce. The setting was cool too. I felt I was visiting and old local establishment. This is a great spot for a date with great lighting and cool overall atmosphere.

This is the place you take company too when they come to town. The place you enjoy for a consistently nice dinner, drinks and great service. The place that makes your feel like you’re out of town, but they know your name. This restaurant is lovely.

Great food. We showed up at 5:15 on a Thursday and we were seated right away. No children’s menu but they provide rolls right away that entertained my kids. Nice cocktails at a reasonable price. They had a Thai peanut chicken appetizer that was really good.
