Best Chinese food I’ve had in the Naples area. The ambiance is nice, the service is good and the food is very good. My favorite was the crispy duck. It was prepared perfectly. We will be back to try more!

I do not like to leave negative reviews but feel in this case I have to let other would-be diners know about what we recently experienced. We ordered take-out recently of Mongolian Beef & General Tso’s Chicken from OhMei. We usually love these dishes and were optimistic after seeing the 4+ rating. We couldn’t have been more disappointed. The food was an insult. It was inedible! The deep-fried chicken looked suspicious when we first opened the container: The ‘chicken’ was in a fried clump of uniform circular balls. There were all the same shape and size. Hmm. Cutting into them, we saw that there was no real meat, only pressed chicken (?) bits and more dough. These balls were far removed from real chicken meat strips. Heaven knows how they were made or what was really in them. And the ‘beef’ in our other dish was a slimy inedible substance obviously stewed in meat tenderizer for hours…ugh. Totally unappetizing. Vegetables were scarce, no garnishes to speak of and the sauces thick, syrupy and tasted as if they came straight from a container. Considering we paid hefty SW Florida prices for our dishes ($20.95, $23.95), we expected quality food which we by no means received. We can not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Overall, it was our first trip and our last trip as full-time residents and previous long time visitors to the area. Sadly, bad experiences spread faster than good experiences among the many friends and today’s internet. It is so hard to find a good Chinese place but we especially will not support this establishment again.

Peking duck is always fantastic and dumplings are above the quality you will get anywhere in the surrounding area. A special treat for celebrations. It is prudent to call ahead due to demand.

What a difference this place is from their old location. Closer to my house, much nicer inside and better staff. The previous location had great food but horrible staff. Although I will say the woman who sat us who I think is the owner scolded me for being 10 minutes late for our reservation. I work in the industry and a 15 min grace period is normal. Plus you don’t scold the customer in general. That really annoyed me, otherwise it would be 5 star. Get the Peking duck. It is one of my favorite meals of all time. Make sure to preorder duck ahead of time when you make reservation. Otherwise I don’t think you can get it. It’s well worth it! Great spot but owner needs to lose attitude which is mentioned in other reviews.

I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years. The Owner is very rude on the phone when trying to place a takeout order. For months she says “No takeout orders today!” I guess she doesn’t like us locals that want to give her money every week for takeout… Best of luck staying in business when the Snowbirds head North, and you’re left with us peasants that no longer want to patronize your restaurant, because you have disrespected us way too many times.

If you’re looking for the best authentic Beijing (Peking) duck in SWFL, Omei is your place! Their juicy and flavorful duck has crispy skin that pairs perfectly with the sliced scallions and cucumbers, topped with the sweet Peking duck sauce to create the yummiest duck “burrito” with each bite! I also love ordering their hot and sour seafood soup with shrimp, scallops and crab meat and their string beans are both crispy and tender. The cherry on top of the dining experience is their friendly and attentive staff.

Average chinese food priced 2x higher than any other Chinese restaurant in Naples. Service is efficient but unfriendly. Never a smile or pleasant greeting. I will never return.

We had a variety and assortment of dishes, some of which were very good, and yet a few were disappointing. We will return, but be more selective in our choices.
