Omega Restaurant Pancake House & Bakery is a great long-standing local staple. It’s one of those places that’s been around forever for a reason.
I especially love getting their Reuben at lunchtime. It’s consistently solid and always hits the spot. The desserts and fresh baked goods are amazing too. You can tell they take pride in their bakery.
Overall, it’s a dependable local favorite with great food and that classic hometown feel.

Decent place. My 1st visit was nice. Server was attentive. 2nd time the food could have been better. I ordered the Chopped steak and when I got it, it looked like a flat meatloaf in the shape of a steak. Definitely didn’t expect that. I also ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were hard as a hockey puck. Certain things I would stay away from.

Omega Restaurant and Pancake House in Downers Grove, IL is my to go place for lunch or dinner. My favorite dinner is their Salmon Dinner with veggies, rice or mashed potatoes, -your choice. Their bread is homemade and served warm -.delicious! I always get their salad because the lettuce is so fresh, and their salad dressings are exceptional! The staff are all friendly. Omega is definitely a place for families, friends, or groups. Omega has great specials – at a reasonable price. When I am in a hurry, I order my dinners to go. Omega takes pride in how they prepare their orders to go. If you want to have a family dinner in a relaxed atmosphere, Omega Restaurant and Pancake House in Downers Grove, IL is the place to go. Me and the family visited Omega Restaurant a few weeks ago on a Saturday. The menu was great and had many options for everyone. Staff and waiters were very polite. However, our food took about an hour to be served, and we had to return a dish because the meat was a little rough, but I enjoyed the sirloin ceaser sandwich and my daughter had the kids burger. Dishes are served well, and we had plenty of leftovers. Also dinner came with a free desert and cookie.

Had lunch with my mother here for her bday this past weekend.
Waitresses are very polite and attentive.
Food was delicious and served quickly. Very well portion for the $ and quality.
Very family oriented atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this Pancake house, everything from the service to the food was perfect. The plates were very big, enough to share with someone. We ordered Nutella crepes, they were very good. Also not pictured is a strawberry shake, it was delicious. The Malibu Panini was super good, had to take half of it home because of how filling it was. We had the best and sweetest server, Lisa, she was very thorough and fast. Highly recommend Omega Pancake House.

I was looking forward to dining here and having a omelette as I’ve had fond memories of meals here in the past years.
I rarely write negatively, but felt important to share this if you’re somebody that’s looking for a good omelette in the area & like clean, fresh food in which you feel great after a meal.
The current overall good reviews made me feel I was set up for a good experience food wise. This was not the case.
The server was nice & pleasant.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend what I jwas served.
I ordered a broccoli cheddar omelette.
The broccoli was freshly cooked perfectly.
That’s where the good ends.
I found completely overpowering the taste of the oil they use to make omelettes and the hash brown potatoes, it was greasy and it tastes overtly artificial.
There’s no way around that it ruined what would’ve been a good omelette. The hash browns were barely cooked, which was disappointing but I could let that go, however that greasy oil taste is still lingering.
No one asked me how anything tasted & since I don’t think they would cook it in any other matter anyway…I left quietly.
I’m sorry that I cannot recommend anything that they cook in this matter and I do not feel good in my tummy after dining here.
I would avoid anything that’s cooked on their flat top or in a skillet If you are sensitive to off flavors and a slick, greasy taste.
I’m bummed out; $25 for an omelette, cup of coffee and a stomachache.

like a lot of places post covid, its lost the grandness of the bakery and the bread is loaf on order but if you know what to order the coffee is fresh and the service is great. its still omega after all and the sagnaki is great
