What a fun experience!
So first thought upon entering was, ok, this is different than the hot pots that I’ve been to. Less fancy. I liked the comfortable vibe but felt that it lacked ambiance. That said… the food was amazing! Everything was so fresh.
I liked how you order on the tablet and their price wasn’t bad for all you can eat.

We passed this restaurant several times and decided to try it for lunch on Monday. They open at 11 AM. We arrived early and were able to wait inside. While waiting the waiter was kind enough to answer a few questions for us of how the ordering process works.
We were promptly seated as soon as they opened. They turned on the warmer at our table and we placed our beverage orders. They explained how we would order from the tablet which was very easy. You order and within a few short minutes it is delivered to your table. We tried a little bit of everything and left happy and stuffed! Please come hungry because you will want to try everything.
It is great to have a new restaurant on the Westbank with fresh delicious food and the service is top notch! We will be back soon!!

I’ve been here 3 times within the last 2 weeks; once for hotpot and twice for kbbq. Delicious food, fantastic service, and very fair price ($40 total per person for dinner price, boba tea, taxes and fees, and a generous tip).
Beats every other hotpot and kbbq place I’ve tried within the NOLA/west bank/Metairie area.
I was very hesitant to post this review because this place might become so popular that service/quality might go down. However, they deserve to be popular for what they’ve accomplished at this establishment. I will be returning time and time again.

Food option is great price is not bad 25 for hotpot and kbb 3 kids and 2 adults was 100 bucks. Service was horrible lady did not explain anything so menu on iPad is for meats, desserts, drinks, appetizer mainly kbbq meat hotpot food are at the bar you service yourself. When they bring you stuff they slap in onto the ppl come by and slap it on your table I had food come from next table on yours a few times. Servicer does not come around if you need something tuff luck I was out of gas for my hotpot about 15 mins till I got it myself same with another drink.

Honestly I am just excited that we have a hotpot spot in the Greater New Orleans area. The food itself was not at the level I am used to in my travels. The service was prompt but we had some problems navigating the instructions and orders because our server did not seem to be very familiar with the English language. Overall, it was a good experience considering the price. I am hoping they add more table side meats in the future. I would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to return.

Delicious food and a diverse selection of hot pot broths make this a top-tier buffet. But the real star is the staff. Their exceptional enthusiasm and attentive service, where they anticipate every need, make this my absolute favorite. I happily drive two hours for this experience.

OMG! Amazing Korean BBQ! So glad I found it! Will most definitely be back. Everything was wonderful. Only thing that would make it better is when they get there liquor license and I can enjoy some Korean beer with the awesome food!!!

Ombu as a whole is an entire experience!
My husband and I have been to all three sides: Hot Pot, Korean BBQ, and Buffet.
Its 100% worth the price, being about $60 for 2 people (including drinks) for all you can eat, high quality and authentic Asian cuisine (with some American/Asian fusion in some areas).
Our favorite is the Korean BBQ.
I would recommend the kimchi tofu soup, BBQ pork fried rice, and chicken katsu.
My husband reccommends the brisket, short ribs, and garlic butter steak when it comes to meats to put on the grill.
There is an upcharge if you have leftovers that you’d like to take home with you, but its definitely a great place for date night, family get togethers or even just wanting to try good Korean food.
Also, most of their products come from the 88 Farmers Market (international store) next door, so if you want to make something at home from Ombu, you can go there to get the exact items or ingredients!!!

Unfortunately we go here more often than we should…best kbbq/hotpot in nola not that there’s many options tbf. The ipad provided is goated because you can get food whenever you want, service is pretty good and food comes out fast. Sauce bar is very extensive, and they have good vegetable options. Hotpot you can have a small pot or a larger pot.
