I have been to several places that allow you to cook your own food at your table…from hot pot style to Korean BBQ. This is probably one of the BEST resturants I have had the pleasure to dine in. The service is phenomenal and the quality of meat and seafood offered is prime. Even the desserts are divine! Favorite proteins are the Cajun peeled shrimp, the beef bulgogi, spicy pork belly, and the garlic beef steak. ALL are phenomenal! A close runner up is the beef tongue! Fried rice with egg is great as is the strawberry cheesecake! I was in Utah for work and came back every night that I was here to try new things and was not disappointed. My only negative is that they do not offer a variety of vegetables but if you ask, they will bring whatever you want if they have it.

I visited the restaurant today with a friend and we realized that the food was horrible. We have been to a lot of Thai, Korean and Vietnamese places and understand the taste of each type of food, however, the food served by this restaurant was not only overpriced, but also small in quantity for the amount billed.
My friend and I ordered 1 veg lo mein, 1 ramen and 1 shrimp and received the bill of 65$. Upon asking to pay itemized amount and not for the “dinner plan” in the menu, we paid for 41$.
One thing I noticed was, there are no prices written in the menu for many items and that does not give clarity about what amount to expect. Some of the staff also seemed way too uninterested to even serve the dishes.
Overall, never recommending this place to anyone.

This place was great! The servers were very friendly, the place is clean and mellow, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the spicy pork belly and kimchi fried rice. The portions are smaller than what I have seen at other BBQ places, but that also helps with portion control and waste. There is no open buffet bar for the meats or sides, and the sauces are provided via the menu. Unlimited ordering is done from the table via iPad, which is convenient, and there is a 90-min eating limit.

Very poor eating experience. It took a while to be seated even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy at all. This was my first time there and the server sat us at a table with a locked iPad and completely disappeared! I didn’t know we were supposed to order on the tablet and I didn’t even know the password to unlock it. I would’ve appreciated some guidance or even recommendations for those of us new to korean bbq. After a while we flagged someone down to tell us how to order. The staff was very hard to get in contact with and they rarely spoke. It felt very strange. We order our first rounds of food. Major components are missing. We ordered things that never appeared and we had to ask for basic items like tongs to handle the raw meat. Additionally, some of the cuts are meat are very large and they provide no way to cut it. We had to ask for scissors. I would’ve appreciated clean plates to put the cooked meat and a server taking away the raw meat plates. The food was OK but the ribs were extremely tough. Overall the food felt very cheap. Meats were fatty and some foods were right out of the can. The entire ordeal was very awkward and I felt almost unwanted with how little the staff interacted with us. So, the foods not great and the service is awful, is the atmosphere any good? NO! The place is very cold and hostile with obnoxious neon lights. Super weird neon lights like a guy with his butt hanging out. The bathrooms were dirty and out of paper towels. There are minimal partitions between tables so it gets rowdy. And kids are running around and screaming.
You’re better off skipping this place and going somewhere else. Food was pretty bad and the experience was honestly awful.

I had a great experience here today. This restaurant has an interesting set-up for their buffet. They have a heating contraption at every table to cook your own meat. Then they’ll bring you as much as you can eat.
They offer a pretty good variety on their menu to choose from.
Also, the service was excellent. The server was attentive and accommodating.
Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth trying.

I should’ve made this post a while ago, but better late than never. This place is home to many of my good memories. From being with my fanily to hanging out with friends, this place has always been one of my top choices to go eat at. One of my favorite dishes is the sesame balls, they prepare them better than any other restaurant I’ve been to. Out of all the buffets I’ve been to in Orem, this is one is the best deal at the very least during lunchtime, dinnertime menu / cost is debatable. Also it is very fun to cook your food yourself, and they also have foods you don’t have to cook and come ready to eat. I think they can also aide you in your cooking but I’ve personally never bothered asking. Ive been coming here for years and have watched them go from making you order directly, to having mark down your order, renovating, and now you can order on a tablet at your table. The quality has never subsided, however they do being out less food than they used to. this is good however for both the restaurant and the customer, since you don’t get way too much and the restaurant doesn’t wait. staff have always been kind and respectful.

They’re updating their interior, and it’s a lot brighter!!
My family loves this restaurant & we have been coming for years on an almost monthly basis!
The service is great. They’ll always come by & refill your water to make sure it’s never empty. All the servers will check in on your party & if you’re ready to order more. Ordering process is simple as you mark a paper of what you want. The food is brought out fast. They have my favorite kimchi & all their sauces are made from scratch!

Loved it! They have made some really great changes at Ombu. The food was really good, fast, and fresh. Our drinks were kept full, and our food kept coming out as soon as it was requested. I also loved the new colors and decor. They have made great changes and they continue to be a great Korean restaurant choice for my family.

No one was at the front desk when all of our party arrived to seat us. It didn’t seem like anyone cared that we were there. Even at the table we were sat down with an iPad and no instructions on how to use it and it was locked. We waited about 15 minutes before someone came over to tell us how to unlock it and clarified that we do order on the tablet. The hot plates had parchment paper on them and I could tell that the plate underneath was disintegrating. We were sat at a table that had no overhead vent and the grills when on were barely warm. It took several minutes to cook the meat on the grill even the thinner bulgogi pieces. The beef kalbi was so tough I couldn’t even chew a piece for fear of choking and I worried for everyone’s teeth trying to get it off the bone. We had to ask for tongs and scissors for the meat after it came out. The scissors I was given didn’t really cut the meat even though they were serrated. Luckily we had another curved pair that worked better. The workers didn’t seem to care that you were there and would drop off the food as fast as possible. There were no check ins at all. The bathroom had a thick layer of dust on the stalls and had a paper towel dispenser but no paper towels. There was an air dryer that was plugged in on the wall that was by the door. The hallway for the bathrooms looked like a storage room. This is completely different than the experience that I had in 2021. The place looked very nice, the waiters were attentive and helpful. It looked clean and more upscale without all the neon. More private booths. I have been to plenty of Korean BBQ places around the area and this is the worst experience I have ever had at one. Strongly recommend going down the street to KOU as they always have great service and amazing food.
