Second visit less than a month. Great addition to Havertown dining. Apps were outstsnding. Crispy calamari, artfully presented beet salad, and perfect artichoke heart. The entrees were chicken Luisa, shrimp scampi, farrow salmon and lamb chops. All perfectly cooked and presented. Their homemade pasta is the must have, even if just to share.

Chef Michael Cirafesi is a master in the kitchen. Ombra has it all-authentic Italian cuisine with some surprise ingredients that make you dream about these delicious offerings (especially the scampi and the beet salad). The decor is lovely. Other perks include: free parking after 6 pm, no fee for credit card use, no corkage fees, a taste of grappa after your meal. Combined with the excellent service, it may be your new favorite. The only small downside was the noise level but that could not really be helped with the excited crowd. The atmosphere quieted down around 8 pm. Do yourself a favor and get the chocolate cake.

It’s awesome to have this restaurant in Havertown! We love their sister restaurant (Ridicchio) and tried Ombra for the first time. Authentic, fresh, delicious food and great service. We also appreciated them being super kind and accommodating with us bringing our 10 month old baby.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at this wonderful new little restaurant gem in Havertown. The food was outstanding and the service superb. Hubby chose the beautifully presented beet salad and the octopus with squid ink pasta in an arrabbiata sauce. He said there were absolutely delicious. My mushroom soup app and mafaldine (flat ribbon pasta) with shrimp and crabmeat scampi entree were yummy! We enjoyed chocolate gelato and affogato (espresso poured over vanilla gelato) for dessert. We can’t wait to enjoy another fabulous meal at Ombra. What a sweet and special surprise we feel lucky to have discovered.

Food was prepared in a reasonable time considering how busy they were. It was cooked to perfection, and the server was very attentive. One of the owners came and said hello personally and ensured were enjoying our food. even the music was fitting the well thought out decort and the general ambiance and crowd.

Excellent. I’m not an articulate food reviewer, but the meal was amazing, so I felt the need to do a review. Service was great; friendly, helpful, and timed perfectly. Being a new restaurant to the area, I was keen on looking around at the new construction details, and noticed acoustic panels throughout. It’s a subtle detail, but noticeable, in that the sound was ‘calmer’ than other places I’ve been. It was full of people enjoying dinner, but was not loud, and made for good conversation. If you’ve been in a loud restaurant setting, you may know what I mean, hard to hear, sound bouncing off of walls, etc. That shows the level of detail that was put into opening, and that attention to detail has clearly translated into the food. Everything was fresh and delicious. Not one to take photos of food, but the presentation was perfect, the portions just right, pricing appropriate. We’ll be going back for sure.

The food here is excellent. I had the artichoke for an appetizer and the salmon entree. Both exceeded my expectations. The only slight negative is that, as the restaurant filled up, the noise level was a little high. I highly recommend Ombra.

We are very much enjoying the new restaurant, Ombra, on Brookline Blvd. My husband and I have been there several times with friends and family and the food and service did not disappoint.
Food prepared by Chef Stephen and team is fresh, made to order, nice presentation and delish. The pasta is Homemade!
Elvis, the owner is very friendly and present ensuring things are moving smoothly. He has alot of energy!
The space is small, however, they are doing their best.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends at Ombra on Brookline Blvd in Havertown last night. The food was delicious. Everything is made from scratch, including the pasta, and presented beautifully. If you go, try the affogato for dessert…it’s vanilla gelato with espresso poured on top, and it’s worth every calorie. After our bill was paid, the owner stopped by our table, encouraged us to take our time and not rush out, and brought us 4 complimentary glasses of limoncello. He is very friendly, a very hard worker, and clearly this restaurant is a labor of love for him. Give Ombra a try. Be sure to make a reservation.
