Great food, great people. Most staff are efficient and ready to serve. There are a few that fail to bring refills on beverages but it’s a work in progress. I know the manager here and she is very well-liked by the customers. She does take the time to come say Hi when she has the time. I get the vibe that she is very pleasant to work under, her staff seems comfortable unless they are just starting, which is normal for a beginner serving personnel. Thank you for the continued pleasant experiences.

Food took about 40 minutes to arrive for a table of 5, and the restaurant was not busy. Cold breakfast order and when we told the server, they microwaved it and now the eggs were rubbery and overcooked. Server was new and she did not know the menu at all. My order was not what I expected it to be either.
Best thing was their coffee.

February 3, 2024 edit: I decided to give it another try, thoroughly impressed. Very busy breakfast service yet we were looked after, coffee was always fresh and full, wait staff was attentive. Turns out the owner made some staffing changes and things are looking (and tasting) great.
Nine months ago: Forgot a lot of things for our meals, and instead of apologizing and offering to fix it the waitress had a real snarky attitude. One of our party’s told her that it would be difficult to come back with that service, and all she had to say was “don’t come back then”. Will not be going back.

This is a staple of Altona Manitoba mostly we had breakfast there but they also have an option for specials including half a sandwich with soup a pudding and a drink for like $12 bacon sausage or ham with eggs with hash browns and toast 10.99! Nice homemade authentic soups and great service

Ordered a crispy chicken ceasar salad. The lettuce was wilted, the Chicken was heavily breaded and the little chicken that was inside was dry and tasteless. The fish burger was greasy and tasted like old deep frying oil. The soma borscht was flavourless, did not compare to what I had there a year or so ago. The verenike were great, but the cream gravy had absolutely no flavour and no fried onions. Service was prompt and friendly but not attentive.
