When we arrived it was only us, one other couple and a group of guys at the bar. They clearly had over served them alcohol, they where yelling and cussing and just acting fools the whole time we where there. The food taste frozen/microwaved, queso was just yellow cheese from a can dumped in a bowl and barely heated up, salsa was nasty. The only good was our server, upbeat and attentive.

Food was really good. I ordered the fajita combination and it came out sizzling to perfection. Service is really good. We didn’t wait too long to receive our food. The rice and tortillas were not the best for me, but I’m very picky when it comes to them. I would highly recommend coming and trying out the fajitas and the Barbacoa tostadas!! Definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Waxahachie by far to me!!!

Tried for tacos Tuesday. Disappointed on the tacos. Ordered 5 tacos 2 fajita, 2 pastor, 1 barbacoa. Received 1 free taco for tacos Tuesday. The barbacoa taco was delicious but it went downhill from there. The 2 fajita tacos were very salty. The pastor tacos were just blah no real flavor. The positives our server was very courteous and attentive l. The salsa are very tasty. Will try again at a later time.

Walked in at 11:15pm and no one was there it was empty. I guess they closed early because they weren’t answering the phone either, which I tried before heading there. Looks good though will try again another day and update review.

The food was really good, I highly recommend this place. The Chilaquiles Verdes were very flavorful. The spice was right on point. Lengua tacos were not greasy at all. They were delicious. We also had Pozole, and it was also good. They were very generous on the meat, the broth flavorful and tast good. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant looks really nice.

I recently ate at Omars taco bar/restaurant, and the experience was disappointing. The food was underwhelming—I ordered cowboy dip and chicken wings, but the wings seemed prepackaged and refried, and the hamburger meat in the dip tasted old. Honestly, it felt like something I could have made better at home.
To make matters worse, the bathroom was a disaster. It was dusty, trashy, and looked like a gas station restroom that hadn’t been cleaned in a week. There was water on the floor, and the overall state was unacceptable. In my experience, you can usually gauge the quality of a restaurant by the cleanliness of its bathroom, and this one didn’t leave a good impression. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on the food or the environment.

We were looking for a bite to eat and were having a hard time finding a place because it was Easter. The restaurant was almost half full and we decided to give this place a try, even though I was breaking my rule of “Don’t eat at a Mexican restaurant unless it has a 100% Hispanic name.”
The staff were nice and friendly. We got our drinks and made our order. The chips and salsas arrived. The larger bowl of red salsa tasted odd, as if one of the ingredients went bad. We stuck to the smaller green salsa, which was good.
We waited 20-25 minutes for our food, which seemed like a long time. I’m not sure if there were manpower issues in the kitchen or not. My partner’s food was partially made with what appeared to be the red salsa that tasted funny, so it was not eaten. The eggs, beans and potatoes were just ok.
If I were to return, I would try some of the lunch or dinner items.

Delicious food. Sopapillas were very good, especially with the thick natural honey. I tried five different tacos on Taco Tuesday. Service was exceptionally kind and attentive. Pricing was acceptable.

Waxahachie needed a great bar but we didn’t need another bar with frozen food cooked in an oven or microwave. This definitely fits the bill. The sign says it all. The house margarita was fantastic! Nice little selection of draft beer. Pleasing drink menu with lots of options. Great Tex mex/taco stand food items. The salsa has a great flavor, it’s a little watery but that’s just a preference thing not a complaint. My girl and I shared a shrimp quesadilla it was just shrimp and cheese. No fajita vegetables or pico inside which would help. The shrimp needed some flavor and a good charring. But again that’s preference when you’re feeding the masses I understand flavor profiles have to be dialed down. Buddy ordered the chimichanga and it was good. Our other friends ordered the fancy queso. I think it was called cowboy queso and they said it was good. No drink complaints. We will definitely be back!

I have been here many times at this point and love this place Omar and his wife are amazing! My favorite item on the menu is the Birria Quesadillas! Omar makes a killer margarita! The house one is good. But ask him for the bearded guy special. Lol
I have introduced at least 5 other couples to this place that also love it.

Food was great. Service was good. Would highly recommend to go and eat. They have a green sauce for dipping that is delicious as well. Good flavor and good amount of spice. I had steak fajita nachos that were really good.
