Could have ordered a bit more but the table we got assigned in was tiny. Understandable though. My kid wasn’t feeling too well to eat as much on our visit but we will surely be back again to try out the omakase set and make a comparison. 🙂

Who knew that the best Sushi I will have ever tried would be in Lexington KY. Thank you Chef Avi!
Right when we walked in we were greeted by the host who already knew who we were based off of our reservation before we ever said the name. They asked about our special event which was very sweet. All of the tables were full but it wasn’t too loud or crowded.
We got seats at the sushi counter (highly recommend) and got to watch chef Avi at work. It was amazing to see the level of detail that goes into each dish. Chef was very kind and answered all of our questions about the food and her experience.
NOW THE FOOD – Personal recommendations in order of favorites – the surf and turf roll #1 the wagyu beef was tender and sooooooo flavorful I am not kidding when I say I savored every bite for a full 2 minutes. The triple crown roll – super silky texture and very flavorful fish. The Sex on the Beach roll – beware of the pepper on top very spicy but once again the fish was perfect. Volcano – I will leave this one a mystery but let me just say prepare to be surprised, it’s definitely a volcano.
The mochi and vanilla ice cream was also very interesting and good – I have never tried anything quite like it.
Overall this is our new Special Event place. Love the atmosphere, the service, Chef Avi is awesome and of course the food.

Best sushi I’ve ever had!
We came here for a double date and we were all pleasantly surprised! The flavor, service and plating of the food were outstanding but by far the most memorable part was the quality of the fish! Yes, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and in my opinion it was worth it! 10/10 recommend for a fancy date night or a celebration!

I’ve only had sushi here, several times, and it’s always hit the spot. The fish is fresh, sometimes a little too fresh haha. I’m a seafood lover but a couple of rolls I’ve tried in the past were a little too fishy for my taste. The aburi roll has become something we have to get every time, so good! One of these days I will actually have to try the rest of the menu. I do find this place to be a smidgen overpriced though. Service is always great and the hot towel is appreciated!

Good sushi place in good neighborhood. Must make a reservation because this place is always packed unless you get lucky sometimes. Nice interior decor, and nice presentation of the food. Very fresh sushi and seafood, everything. Friendly staff/server/bartender, shout-out to patch, Julius and Rika. Food came out fast. Just found out that most of the customers there are regular customers. All customers are also very friendly. Very spacious restaurant. Very attentive staff, clean the plates/table efficiently. Bathroom is near the back, very clean and nice decor and also with heated seat. They have shared parking space in the back. Must try this restaurant if you are in the area and if you love Japanese cuisine.

Reasons why I love this place (in addition to the great food): the restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is wonderful, a little moody, very sophisticated and elegant. The wait staff are wonderful, and always on top of it without being overbearing. The food is amazing! It is very filling. The ingredients are fresh, every dish is flavorful, the temperature of the food is always spot on, and so is the consistency/texture! It’s always prepared to perfection! I personally have had the dinosaur egg, it is so filling, and delightful, I definitely recommend it! And their desserts are heavenly! I have tried their mochi vanilla ice cream, it was wonderful! The flavors were nice, and you still got that kind of earthy flavor that mochi has. And they’re Japanese crepes! Oh my word, it’s layered so high. Maybe 15 layers? It’s so thin and delicate, and it’s given to you as a cake slice. It’s one of the pictures I have provided. In between each layer is a layer of whatever feeling you get, because they have two versions of this. They have a very impressive alcohol menu with plenty to choose from. Also, they make their soy sauce in house, which you can buy! It is pricier than your normal soy sauce, but it is so good! I dare say life-changing even. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend. I would also dress up for it, but there is no dress code. Great for anniversaries, celebrations, or if you just want to treat yourself.
