An unforgettable dining experience 10/10

From the moment I arrived, everything felt special. The entire experience was truly wonderful, with incredible attention to detail and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
I didn’t try the sake, but the wine recommendations were absolutely excellent and paired beautifully with the meal. Every suggestion was thoughtful and showed real knowledge and care.
What made the evening even more memorable was the staff. They were outstanding from start to finish: attentive, kind, and genuinely warm. They made me feel completely at home, and that level of hospitality is rare to find.
The food, the service, the atmosphere everything came together perfectly. I honestly wished the dinner could last forever.
I will definitely be back. Thank you for such a beautiful experience.

An absolutely incredible restaurant. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was exquisite— the food, the drinks, the staff, the ambiance. This is a must visit establishment in Lisbon. I could not recommend it highly enough.

Great atmosphere – young and relaxed. Nicest staff. Very good food. Fun to see the cooking process right in front of you. They change the menu often depending on what’s best for the season / for the day – the structure however remains similar. Def worth the visit! Entrance is a bit hidden – find the number and head downstairs to the right!

If you are looking for truly authentic Japanese food in Lisbon, Omakase Ri is an absolute must. Every dish is crafted with such precision and care, and you can really taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The experience feels like a journey through Japan, with flavors that are both traditional and innovative.

What makes it even more special are the hosts – warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They create an atmosphere that is not only inviting but also makes you feel part of something very personal and unique.

For anyone searching for a real Japanese culinary experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Place is really nice and great staff. Other Omakase’s has lot more creative food. This one felt pricy for mostly sushi dishes. At the end they said service was not added… which was never done in Omakase settings.

I had one of the best experiences in a restaurant ever here at Omakase Ri. The food was AMAZING, but to add to the whole experience, Chef William and the rest of the team gave us an amazing reception, very thoughtful and caring, always talking to us and give us insight about every piece of food, this really added to the amazing experience. The space is very cosy, nice music and mood, it really adds to the intimacy. Will return to Omakase Ri for sure!

What an experience! Apart from the delicious and one of a kind food, the service and ambiance was impeccable. Very attentive, easy to speak to and just plain friendly service team with a contagious passion for what they do. Paired with the very cozy and exclusive feeling ambiance, it was one of the best food experiences I had so far. For 2 hours you are able to dive into a different world and guided through each and every dish on the way. Definitely a 5* experience!

How does one give more than five stars?

The food, the atmosphere, the impeccable service, Gabi, the seating, the vibe, the music—did I mention Gabi?

We were absolutely dazzled. Every dish was prepared with such care, and each bite was a burst of flavor. The entire evening flowed effortlessly, thanks to the genuinely cool and welcoming vibe the hosts created. By the end of the night, we were singing “Happy Birthday” and posing for a Polaroid, sad that the experience had come to an end.

For context: I’m a New York snob who is very picky about the quality of sushi and the overall omakase experience (see my other review on Kabuki Lisboa). I’ve been to many top spots, and Ri Omakase still completely blew me away. The food is indescribably good, but it’s the full experience that makes it truly magical.

And trust me, I hate crowds and small talk with strangers. It’s not my thing. But at Ri? It felt different. Comfortable. Special.

Just be sure to book well in advance. We had the 9:30 p.m. seating and didn’t get home until after midnight—Gabi and team, thank you for such a gracious and unforgettable night!

One of the best omakase experiences I’ve had. From beginning to end, the entire staff was extremely nice and hospitable. The service was exceptional.

For 90 euro pp, I would say this experience is definitely worth it. I’ve never had a better scallop in my life, it was insane. But, the rest of the courses were amazing as well. The yuzu elderflower lemonade was also very good.

Would definitely recommend to come here if you’re craving sushi.

One of the best food experiences I’ve had in my life… twice. This small, but nimble and focused team continues to give us reason to come back year over year. Each bite is thoughtful, all 15 of them, that leaves you feeling satiated (not craving more after and not stuffed). Take the time to close your eyes and enjoy the flavors. I love the energy of the space; it’s vibey but cozy and the music is on point (find the playlist on Spotify afterwards!)

Highly recommend the sake pairing, but a good glass of wine or beer goes down just as well. I hope to come back again as soon as possible and share with a new group of friends. Shoutout to Gabi; I wish I could bottle up her spirit and take it home with me. She is THE sweetest soul and your guide through the evening while the gentlemen quietly bring gastronomic magic to your mouth. This place is really something special.
